  1. Thank you very much for the links, I'll check them out later as they're blocked at work. Sorry for the late reply and pick up of the PM, I've been quite hectic the last few months. "America, f*** yeah!" :)
  2. I guess I'm not going to find this diagram. Never mind and thanks for looking.
  3. I've got a strange knocking noise at the rear of my car and it sounds like it's predominantly the left side. My Dad thought it was the tools etc that are in the boot but I wasn't convinced because the knocking happens at slow speeds which aren't enough to make things move with enough force to sound as loud as it does. I removed everything anyway and as soon as I pulled off the drive the noise was still there. All I can tell you is it happens at slow speeds when I'm entering and leaving driveways that have a slight slope up to them, like the ones where you have to cross a path, when the car is twisted and flexing whilst steering, usually to the left. The sound doesn't happen in a straight line during normal driving or going over bumps in the road or speed bumps and I can't replicate it with the car stationary and bouncing the suspension. I haven't jacked it up to have a look yet and will get the dealer to have a look when they've got it on the ramps for the service, but I was wondering if anybody here had any suggestions as to what it might be. It's annoying and doesn't sound good, but hopefully it's something simple due to the infrequency of it.
  4. Does anybody have the equivalent manual that covers a 2003 GS 430 Sport?
  5. I haven't had any joy on the UK forum so thought I would try here. I found a thread with a really useful diagram about removing the front bumper, which will come in handy, but I was hoping someone might have an equivalent diagram for the rear. I need to know how to remove both of them so I can fit my recently purchased parking sensors (http://www.parkingdynamics.co.uk/Vehicle-S...ng-Dynamics-PD1). For reference, here's the topic and post about the front bumper removal: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...mp;#entry247428 I hope you can help. :)
  6. My 1996 GS 300 Sport had to have new front ball joints at around 82,000 miles. I ordered them through a UK Lexus dealer and got 10% Gold discount, then my Dad and I fitted them ourselves. This was in April 2005. Even after changing them and fitting new stock Spax Sport front springs a couple of years later, both the original ones snapped, it still creaked like it did before all this work was done. I never had any problems though for the further three years and five months and 15,000 miles I owned the car.
  7. Is that limit just for the two front side windows or the rear as well? In the UK you can have whatever you want on the rear of the car, but the light transmitted through the windscreen must be at least 75%, so no tint, and the front side windows must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them. Despite having tints on my last three cars and making the mistake of not going dark enough on the rear sides of my last two cars, I'm still undecided on what to go for on my recently purchased 2003 GS 430 Sport.
