i got an online manual for 7 bucks off ebay ..its seems to have everything in this one little file that you download after you pay for it..it def has more than i need . i dont think its worth paying over 100 bucks for volumes of this manual when you can just get it on your laptop and take your computer out to the garage when you need the info or even print it out, MUCH easier in my opinion how this helps

well for the covers, get a flat head driver and pry out the plastic pieces that hold them in. ( they may break because theyre soo fragile but theyre only 4 buck for a set of 10 at any auto store)..now for the fun part 1) look down and to the right of your driver's side and youll see a piece of plastic shaped like a circle in the side of engine bay were your headlight body should be. 2) twist this plastic cap off 3) now you got this silver coil like connector which is used to transfer power from the ballist to the bulb...twist this off slightly counter clockwise and pull it off 4)last thing, 2 wire like clamps hold the bulb in place... you have to push them IN then pull OUTWARD for BOTH of them and they will drop out 5) now slowly twist the bulb counter clockwise slowly and pull it out YOUR DONE! now just reverse everything to put in your new bulb :D

Really. The plugs in there are iridium and these last a long time. I was skeptical at first on my 2002 ES and changed them at 60K (recommendation was 90k). I could have waited, the plugs were pristine. On my 2006 GS300 AWD, the recommendation is 100-120k. Again, on a Saturday afternoon with 90k on the clock, I had nothing to do so I replaced them. Once again they were pristine. As for the coil packs, I wouldn't replace them unless any unless it was giving you problems or is throwing a misfire code. And if that be the case I would start with the problem pack and replace one at a time. The buggers are quite expensive to replace as a precaution. steviej WOW thanks for the info and ya i do get some hardcore vibrations (assuming that is a misfire) a few times a year mostly in the winter... iv done some research on how to test your coils bc they are about $130 a piece! so this sunday my buddy is coming over to help me out, ill probably take some pics and post a mini tutorial on how to test them..

its not really worth it .. i have the same car and the same issues with the shifting that you spoke of . I think because its a heavy car there is that delay with the shifting (or i could be wrong).. My extended warranty ends in 11 months and I havent used it yet. hope this helps

Im not sure if this is the same thing but every once in a while when im at a read light my car will rumble or vibrate as if its going to stall...I think its the coil packs though but im not sure

Really spark plugs at 100k miles?? I was told 40k? should the coil packs be changed too at 100k miles?

I have this one too.. the price is great but sometimes when i use the AUX cable that it came with i hear a buzzing sound in the background and it can get very annoying. but 60% of the time its ok

I'd suggest just uninstalling the daytime runners. Thats what I did and I just have high beams when I need them and just drive around with my HIDs HOW do you uninstall the daytime runners???? please tell me iv been trying to get rid of them for the longest time

Iv been a member to this amazing forum for quite a while and this is one of my first posts so here it goes.. I did some research on removing or eliminating my DRLs bc like everyone that complained, i cant stand the freakin yellow lights!!! I have pure white (slightly blue) LED strips in the empty space of my bumper next to the fog lights and i wired them in with the orange lights next to the low beams (not the turn signal light the smaller ones on the side) so the LED strips can be on with and without my low beams being on and they look AMAZING if only that 50% high beam DRL was not shining theyd look even better! So i made it my mission to get right of those DRLs without doing wire cutting or anything complicated like some people have said. Iv read in forums here and on other sites it cant be done without proper wiring and stuff like that i kinda skimmed that complicated stuff bc i dont like cutting things like wires bc i can possibly screw up.so this was what i did first, i said to myself "if i tint the lenses with Nite Shade window tints i can cover it up enough so the DRLs wont show in the day but i can still use the high beams at night". Seven coats of Nite Shade later i was done and the lenses looked sweet! But of course i became disappointed when the DRL lights were now RED! :cries: So im like wow this looks worse than the yellow so i took that off. Now for my second attempt. i said to myself, " well if i get HID lights, since they require more power to turn on the DRLs wont turn on since they wont be given enough power BUT when i turn on the high beams ill have enough power to use em". so i order 9005 HID bulbs for my 2006 gs300. I get them in the mail , im ecstatic ! now i plug them in and walk to the drivers seat to turn on the light..moment of truth...they turn on for a split second then right away they start to FLICKERR what i realized was that it was trying to turn on but it was not getting enough power BUT it was still getting enough power to flicker, i expected not enough power to even turn on...my hypothesis was a fail. So for those of you looking to get creative without playing with the wiring to get rid of the DRLs , here are 2 things your shouldnt do bc they failed with me..learn from me. Good luck to anyone else who tries accomplish what i didnt , and if anyone finds a way PLEASE let me know, if it involves wire cutting and what not , even though thats not my style idc anymore i just want them gone!

i have an 06 gs300 and there is a filter that is easy to remove on the left but i never noticed a second filter i pretty much popped out every lid under the hood

purchased 06 gs300 last october so far 36k miles problems - dash rattles needed re insulation (which dealer did under warranty ) - now that i have my sunroof open in the summer it is beginning to rattle too gonna take it to dealership soon - when i put the car in reverse then drive sometimes to side view mirrors dont tilt back up to set position kinda annoying but thats it hope this helps
