  1. Hello I live in Ottawa Canada where it snows a lot and gets very cold. I have been looking at the Michelin cross terrain suv tires but if anyone can provide any recommendations it would be appreciated. I don't want to go the cheapo route but don't want to go overboard either. Thanks for any recommendations.
  2. Hello I have an 07 RX-350 with very low mileage. I tried starting it this morning and all I hear is a fast clicking noise. The engine doesn't turn over. There was a lot of rain and snow last night and the temperature dropped to freezing (not sure if this might be related). I have read some posts and they seem to point to either condensation or a loose connection on the wiring somewhere. Have also heard that the distributor cap might be the problem. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks
  3. Yes, you should have received a copy of this inspection. (I did on mine) I did not get such copy when I purchased my RX300 (CPO) in 2002. Maybe this has changed. But, if I were you, I would certainly try to get the report. Had I known it existed, I would have insisted on getting it for my CPO car. I recently purchased an 07 RX350 from a dealer here in Canada. I asked if it was certified pre-owned and the sales rep said it was. However, when I went in to sign the contract, the finance and sales person played dumb when I asked to see the certificate. Luckily for me, the computers were down that day and I was able to drive home with the car and agree to come back and do the deal. The sales rep knows me personally, so he vouched for me. Upon arriving home my wife pointed out a number of scratches and chips on the vehicle which I didn't notice since the vehicle was in the showroom (less light), when I picked it up. I also noticed how dirty it was. They didn't even have the courtesy to clean it on the inside or out. Anyway, after doing some research and talking to Lexus corporate I was informed that I should indeed be receiving a pre-owned certificate which includes the 131 point checklist. Thanks to the systems being down I had some leverage in getting this. However, the sales manager proceeded to swear at me for making things so difficult for him (yes, he swore at me), The sales rep was in shock as well as me. Needless to say I emptied the vehicle of my belongings and walked away from the deal. Only after contacting the owner of the dealership and explaining the situation to him, was the certification performed and the certificate provided to me. I'm so glad I pushed for this because a lot of problems, mainly wear and tear, were corrected due to the inspection. The way it was explained to me was that they were trying to push this vehicle out to a customer so quickly that they didn't want to waste time and money on the certification. What a nightmare.
