  1. I just had my girl's car (IS250) taken in to my mechanic for the 60k service. We did spark plugs, oil change, air filter, fuel filter. Checked the brakes, topped off coolant, and looked at the belts, and seals. The whole thing cost me $300 for parts and labor and took about 4 hours from the time I got there till I left. If you have the tools and are mechanically inclined, it is all stuff that you can handle yourself, the parts would be around $100-$150. The only hard part was removing all the bolts to move the throttle body out of the way to get to the driver side bank of spark plugs. hope this helps
  2. Thanks guys, Just did the job today, it took about 5 hours. But I did the value gaskets while I had the throttle body off. There was some oil in the spark plugs, overall everything looked clean underneath. Next job is to tackle the suspension rubbers. I get a hollow clunk when I go over some bumps, its not the shocks since all four corners are even and there is plenty of shock absorbtion. Last, there is a strange vibration that feels like its coming from the front passenger seat/transmission tunnel. Has anyone experienced this before, I want to say it might be a transmission mount or bracket? Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I have an 06 IS250 with 54k on it. Just today, as I was driving, whenever I ran over a drain cover or any uneven surface, there was a creaking sound coming from the rear of the car. It does not seem to be the shocks. I think it maybe the rear parcel shelf. I am wondering if anyone else here have had this issue, or know how to get ride of it. It sounds like one surface rubbing against another surface. thanks
  4. I want to change my spark plugs in my 02 GS300. Looking through this forum, it seems I would need to remove the intake manifold to get to them. I do have the tool to do it myself. Before I take it to a mechanic, I would like to know about how many hours of labor I should be billed for. If anyone has had this done in a shop before, i would like to know about how much it should cost, and if there are any other maintenance things that I should also do while the manifold is removed. the car has 140k and has had its water pump and belts replaced already. thanks
  5. Hi, this is my first post on this forum, I hope to find a good answer. Today, my car would not start, I come to find that something has chewed my DH61 igniter wires. 3 of them were completely chewed through. I reconnected them with electrical tape, car started just fine. I also disconnected the battery for mins and cleared the check engine/vsc codes. My question is, where do I find a replacement wire harness for this. All I can find is the actual igniter module which is working fine for my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
