Okay, I've tried many searches and am unable to find anything/anyone that can tell me how to get the door open to fix the actuator. Mine is stuck with the door closed (and locked) and I've had one mechanic tell me the door has to be disassembled from the inside - which seems like a really, really bad idea.? I greatly appreciate any advice/help , especially from someone in or near Dallas (Mr Billy Powell..?)

Hoser - Whats involved in the crossover in terms of time and expense? My '99 has 200K miles (it's been a good ride and we're not stopping here) and the AHC is beginning too act squirley - it's as if the shocks were busted and it's bouncy. Sometimes it decides to adjust height all on it's own - like sitting at a redlight it decides it wants to be closer to the pavement. If it's not prohibitively expensive I'd love to change to a more conventional system such as the TLC. Thanks - Tsavo

1999 crossed over 200K in June of '10, I love this vehicle. I am starting to get AHC issues though - kind of like your 95 year old grandfather saying his back hurts.
