I'm the new owner of a 96 LS400 with 99k/miles on it. Everything works on it with two minor exceptions: the LCD displays on the radio and the left front side marker light. It is a G.R.E.A.T. car! (A tribute to the previous owner who was absolutely anal-retentive about keeping it serviced.)
I've already done a 1.5k/mile road trip with it and I am just blown away by the quality and refinement of this vehicle!
As a newbie to this forum, I've diligently browsed about the first 30 pages of topic titles and posts, and I just have to say that this is what the Internet should be all about. It seems like everyone here knows so much and shares it willingly. I was looking for clues about changing that side marker bulb and I found them
I'm gonna change that marker light bulb myself this weekend and thanks to this Forum, I know what to expect. As for the LCD display, I can live with that. I live in southern Arizona and the heat that builds up in a closed car in the parking lot all day (even with covered parking) probably is what fried it in the first place.
Anyhoo.....thank you for all the good work that you do and I'm delighted to be among the ranks of Lexus owners.
