  1. there is a button in the glove box to disable the active stability control, but that does not seem to have any effect on wheel spin according to posters here. If you find different, please let us know. I've never played with it. you are rioght, doesn't make any difference :cries: Doesn't that button turn of the rear power hatch? Seriously, the 2006 didn't have a traction off button. I think later models might have though. Yes, you are absolutely right, I went thru the manual after nothing changed and came to the same conclusion. I will raise the issue with my mechanic, I'm pretty sure that there must be a way to switch it off To whom it may concern. My garage did a simple modification to my RX 400h, they connected an on/off switch in line with the 12V supply line to the ABS electronics. When traveling through rough terrain I just switch off the abs system (controls leds come on!!!) and no undesired braking takes place and traction is great. Once I am on normal roads again I have to stop the car, switch on the abs supply, cut ignition and restart the car. ;)
  2. I fully agree with your comment. If a gas pedal gets stuck slamming the brakes and cutting the engine will always do the trick. I just wonder, what kind of driver this guy has been. Another (touchy) issue, this kind of accident apparently only happens in the US, not in Europe or elsewhere. I leave it to the Forum members to figure out what is on my mind.......... :whistles:
  3. ok, got you, but is there a way to "manually" enter phone numbers into the phonebooks of my rx400h?
  4. Hi, need some help. According to the owner's manual one can transfer phone books from cell phones to car's phone system. Unfortunately neither my Iphone nor my blackberry work, although bluetooth connection can be established and I can receive/make phone calls. But entering phone numbers into my car's phone books doesn't work at all and the description of the owners manual is useless. :cries: Again, your help is highly appreciated

  7. Hi, does anybody of the forum members know how to switch-off the traction control of a 2006 RX 400h? Your input is highly appreciated B)
  8. Hi members, being a newcomer to this forum I'm lost whether this has been brought up already, if so, my apologies. My problem is to transfer my blackberry 8600 address book to the hands free phone system of my 400h. Bluetooth as such is working although I did not manage to punch phone numbers into the hands free phone system either. Might be my stupidity or the translation from Japanese via English into German language didn't make it, at least the German sounds funny to me (I am currently living in Germany and the car is supplied with a German User Manual only :cries: Any help is highly appreciated thanks
