  1. you could try to hit the dealer up for a goodwill repair if your warranty just ran out. my reception sucks too, mine's an 01 GS. I think the antenna in glass are weaker than regular. my '95 ES get's way better reception than my GS

  3. Put the shifter in M, then use up and down buttons to shift manually. It won't go to first though. Push the VSC off button to disable trac control and don't forget the power button.
  4. The red top has higher cold cranking amps. The yellow is a deep cycle. Both would prob do fine. This is a cut and paste from emails I had w/optima: The Yellow D34 is the correct battery for your vehicle. You will also need the G24 height adapter (part 242-0033) for hold down compatibility. Thank you for your interest and support of Optima Batteries. Optima Batteries Customer Service 1800 292-4359 The Red Top would be fine for your stock application. 5. heck ya-new Avalon looks sweet
  6. I have read that with an older or higher mile trans that it is risky to do a flush because it loosen debris that can cause big problems. I have a 95 w/83000 miles and I doubt the fluid has ever been changed.
  7. so how many quarts of trans fluid do I need?
  8. repost-but still funny

  10. Nice! Definately seems nicer than the current ES. 280 hp too ;)
  11. So how many quarts come out the bottom? How come people say you need 2.5 if drain bottom and 4 if drain the diff too? That's why I'm confused. Do you have a pic? thanks chuckb
  12. why have I read there is a separate drain for the diff. Someone said about 2.5 quarts if you just drain the trans and about 4 if you do the trans and diff. I also saw somewhere that you had to fill the diff seperately through a plug till its level with plug? Now I'm confused.
  13. 95 ES Differential and Trans fluid change ? I've done a search but I just want to make sure I've got this right. When I have the trans and diff fluid drained and refilled- There are 2 seperate drains for trans and diff I know. Do you refill the diff seperately? I will need 4 quarts toyota dextron 2 fluid right? thanks chuckb
  14. pics of those 05s?
  15. Is she really gone Everytime I checked in on this thread there was something negative going on. :D We come here to not have to hear women complain
  16. how hard is seat removal? will I be able to see what prob is?
  17. I have a 1995 ES. I had CVs replaced in March. Car had 72k miles at time. Local mechanic charged $390 for whole job including two remanu CVs.
  18. Check this out> http://www.carcarecouncil.org/Electrical/power_seats.shtml ← Thanks- Still seems weird that I only lost ONE function though, doesn't it?
  19. If the motor is broken, how come all the other functions are still fine?
  20. The driver seat on my 95 ES all of a sudden will not work right. All of the adjustment function work except for one. The bottom of the seat in the back will not move up and down anymore. The front of the seat still goes up and down, but the back(like where your butt sitts) will not move up or down It makes noise when you push the button, but that's it. Anyone know what the prob could be? Thanks chuckb
  21. here it is. It is a toss up on dropping the pan. If you do, that is easy too. There is no filter, just a screen that has to be cleaned. You will have to replace the pan gasket with a new one and make sure all of the old one comes off. I do not think that is included in the $80 job at the dealer....you might ask them if it is. As for the power flush....it's is more than $80 and is not a bad idea either if you want to spring for it. A cheaper alternative to get most of the fluid switched over to new stuf would be to do 3-4 drain and fills yourself over the course of the next 1500-2000 miles. steviej ← thanks for the link. Is it the same deal on my 95ES?
  22. RE: Meguiars Gold Class Leather Wipes I know some don't reccomend leather treatments that are clearners and conditioners in one. I called Meguiars today and they said just the wipes were all I needed and that the cleaners in it are very mild. What do you guys think? BTW-I love the smell of them.
