    I removed starter and replaced contacts with toyota parts for $15!!!!!!!! I'm so glad. I've been living with the 3-4 tries to start for 8 months, now it starts 1st try ;) this site below was very helpfull http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/starter/

    my 430 came with Pirelli Pzeros fitted. Changed em last week for Goodyear Eagles F1 GS-D3. They are a lot better, more grip, and quieter ;) ← the Pirelli were louder than F1-Gs-D3s? I have 16inch Goodyear Eagles F1 GS-D3 now and I find them kinda loud. So 18inch Pirelli Pzero neros came stock on your new 430?

    after you condition them(I like meguiars wipes) wipe them off with a mf towel.this will reduce shiny look

    Thanks- I replaced both terminals and battery is fairly recent. Are the power wires you speak of just bolt on? which ones do I buy?

    thanks SK. how hard is it to remove the starter? any tips?

    95 es300 starter prob -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- my 95 es sometimes just clicks when you try to start. after a few trys it starts no prob, but it is getting worse. how hard is it to replace starter on this car? I beleive the solenoid and starter are one piece? Any pics ? thanks

    u sure it's not motor mount? have you ever changed dogbone?

    sometimes more of it is on the outside than you think. try meguiars plastx cleaner.

    turn ac on at full blast in fresh air intake setting and spray Lysol crisp linen scent into the intake vents near wipers

    to me. 20k miles on tires is great. I have never gone past 25k on a set. and my 95 ES w/15s chews through tires in 12-15k, especially fronts

    my GS430 w/ 22kmiles had a humming sound at 60mph when you let off the gas. They told me it was tires. I got new tires, still there. It turned out to be my rear diff and I had a whole new rear diff and halfshaft replaced via warranty and sound went away. I bought the car w/21k miles and the sound was there. My feeling is the lady who owned it before never noticed it and it was probably like that from the factory.

    I have a gold hood L off my GS but it's same exact as hood L on my 95 ES. I'd sell it if anyone's interested.

    who had access to under your hood to steal it in the first place? should be easy to figure out who or where it was jacked

    is the starter easy to change? It looked like it was right near the top and easy to access? I did notice that one of the caps on my battery where the water goes was off when I changed terminals. but when it does turn over it turns real fast.

    that's what I thought. but could it be barely disengaging the switch? what else could it be? the starter? I just put on new terminals

    is there an adjustment on the shifter mechanism that tells the car when it's in park so it will start. lately on my 95 es, when I try to start it just clicks, but when I jiggle the shifter it starts right up. is there a cable or something to adjust or what? thanks

    I have a 95 ES too. I notice same thing. With the lights on, when you push the brakes or push the window button up when the window is already up, the lights dim slightly for a second. Once, when my battery was bad, the car would not even run . I thought it was the alt. but it wasn't. Replaced battery and it's been fine, and that was like 3 yrs ago.
