  1. i kno the groundin kit i am talkin about it made by active tuning. but its only made for nissans. the kit is made of 4 guage copper wire, n its nothing but quality. its about 5 pieces, that all take the negatively charged energy made by the engine, n grounds it to the frame so it is properly canceled. by gettin rid of the excess negative energy, u can reduce the resistance in the electrical system, and increase spark and ignition. thus ending up in significant power gains. (from their site) http://www.activetuning.com/ Increase Horse Power & Torque Enhance ECU Efficiency / Engine Performance Stronger & Faster Starts Smoother Idle More Responsive Acceleration Enhanced Engine Compartment Looks
  2. grounding helps. older cars tend to see the most gains. a 96 altima got 20hp alone wit the kit. the older the better. so if u have like a 96 sc, i'd expect 10-15 hp. might be a lil generous though, since our cars r pretty high quality.
  3. nice, i would change the rims first thing. the leather on the seats are perfect. texans keep their cars nice. other than that, u will have lots of fun. 89k miles, its still so young. good luck
  4. no offense or anything, but u should hav driven it before u bought it. that kinda is policy. if u r having probs, u should get it checked by the dealership that u bought it from, that is, if u did buy it from a dealership, n if u got a warrantee wit the car. if so, get it fixed by them. if u got if from a private seller, well u should have driven it. also, see if there are any OBD1 scanners, it will tell u wuts up, n wut the error is. k bye
  5. i been using meguiars cleaner wax. i heard about zymol, they have a really nice cleaner wax. it smells good too. says its made of bananas, coconuts, n almonds. sounds good to me. anyone use it? wut do u recommend?
  6. hmm i personally dont trust cars that have rims n aftermarket stuff on it. i jus get the feelin that they were beat on during their time wit their owner. as for the leakin of oil, doesnt seem the person took care of their car, if they allow oil to leak in the engine n not fix or clean it. if it really is a leakin head gasket, that could be the reason the car felt slow when u were driving it. check around for another lexus sc300, and see if u find one that is stock. if its stock and clean, it most likely was taken care of. you really dont want to buy a car that has problems.
  7. hi, good that u got a 5 speed. if u want an exhaust, i think magnaflow has one, that makes it sound even better, its a powerful sound, not that loud civic crap. headers i believe u wil have to search for that, but it shouldnt help that much. the sc300's arent much wit natural aspiration. as for reliability, i haven't heard of anyone wit an sc300 having internal problems, like anything else, the power steering pump, timing belt, and bushings should be checked and replaced accordingly. its a great car n have fun. cya
  8. just wondering, but wut spark plugs do any of u believe is the best for my car, 95' Lexus SC300? wut kind are in your car? any difference? i hear the bosch platinum +4 is good. any info is good. thanks
  9. i c. i hope i can find a replacement for it. does anyone kno where to find it? thnx
  10. i want to buy this 95' SC300. my parents r goin to pay half, n i got the other half. the car is in great shape, leather is perfect. jus have to change oil, power steering fluid, and trans fluid. but besides that, the headlight has condensation. the only thing that concerns me is the steering wheel. check the pic i uploaded. it has a hole on the side. does anyone know what might have caused it, and can it get replaced? the car is $8800 wit 71k miles. which is very good. any help will be appreciated. thnx. - Andrew
