  1. I bought my 1993 SC400 4 years ago with 167,000 miles on it. It now has 213,000 miles on it and it still runs strong. No complaints with the car other than common problems listed in other threads. These are very reliable cars.. it all depends on whether you want a 6 or 8 cylinder engine. Good luck
  2. I had the same problem, ,my car would just stall and shut down in the middle of the highway. We thought it was the fuel pump or filter and it turned out to the be an electrical problem, which is what the dealer told us and they were able to fix it. Hope this helps -craig
  3. I have a 1993 SC400 and was having the same problem with my car. My grandfather tested the battery acid level and saw that it was low. We replaced the old battery with an interstate and starts without a problem. Before spending a lot of cash on a starter see if it's a problem with the battery. It could be the problem and a hell of a lot cheaper than replacing the starter. My 2 cents hope it helps. - craig
