  1. Hmm, ok so would you be able to upgrade the clutch/pressure plate to the mkIV disc with the stock 300 tranny. Or would you just have to go ahead and do the 6-speed tranny swap?
  2. well let me know if you want any help finding a new set-up. I know a couple of decent resources to tap if you feel like re-plumbing all the wire.
  3. I would check and make sure the wires to the sub are hooked up. If they are take the sub out and it them bench tested at your local audio place.
  4. The way I see it, It all depends on how you manage the system. There are alot of things that you have to take into careful consideration before you by a turbo. Not every one will work for your car. Your always going to be trading off something every time you decide to get bigger and better. As for the "turbo vs tt" It all depends on the size of the turbo. Garrett just came out with and awesome turbo that retails for $1800. It's full ball-bearing and to die for. One more thing, you really don't want to run laughing gas with a turbo motor. The only reason why you would is to get it to spool faster. Otherwise your going to do major damage and burn all that money you just spent.
  5. thats really weird. all the kits that I have seen have come with all the hardware in them. The ones we sell at my job have a sensor that goes through the rad. so that gets rid of all the spike probs. Which kit did you use? I don't mean to sound like I am contradicting you I just haven't heard of any of these problems. According to all the dyno sheets that I have seen you would be freeing up 10-15 ponies and only in rare cases did ypu see major cooling problems. Lexus wouldn't have any odd ends or angles to prevent the use of electric fans do they??
  6. It's not what you want to do...It's what you should do. If your going to keep the car for a couple months, then yeah, rebuild it. But, If your going to keep it for awhile go ahead and shell out the extra dough and get a lifetime warranty with it.
  7. Yeah, unscrew those and the lens assembly should come off with ease. Once you get that lens out you should be able to gain access the the bulbs from the back of it.
  8. Why would you be cautious about converting your belt driven fan to electric? That would put less stress on the motor and free up a couple ponies. Did it not work out that well on yours?
  9. I'd agree it sounds like your rear pads. Maybe they thought you meant the front ones, so thats all they checked. But it would probly be the pads and/or rotors.
  10. I know there isn't much of a difference between the supra and the 300/400. So I was wondering if anyone has bothered to do the homework and find out if the supra TRD sway bars/bushings, shifter or let alone anything else related to susp. and or drivetrain would cross over to the 300/400?? Any info would help. -thnx
  11. Hey guys, new in town..Just saw the thread and wanted to throw in my two cents. I am an asst. manager of advance auto parts and we have those replacement supports for $30 a piece. If you don't have one of our stores around your area go to any auto parts store and ask for "lift supports" they should have them. If they don't got to our web site http://partsamerica.com and you can order them there.
