  1. HI VBdenny, I finally did what you said today and put my car up on some ramps and the wires at exposed at the end where the sensor plugs in and also you the connection end. Can I repair these exposed wires or do I need to buy a new sensor? Can anyone answer this question for me. It's been a few days and I can't believe of the lexus owners I'm the only one that's had this problem????

  3. Thanks for the response. I haven't gotten anyone to do this yet. Besides this is there anything else it might be and the temperature sensor is located near the exhaust manifold? If your LS has an intake air temperatrue sensor it will be in the engine air intake assembly just downstream of the intake air filter. Excuse me for asking but not all 91 ls 400's have an intake air temperature sensor and when you say downstream of the intake air filter are you simply referring to the air filter?

  5. I have a 91 LS 400 which I recently replaced the oxygen sensor on the right side before the converter. I car is still stalling on me and a code has come back now that the trouble area is the intake air temperature sensor saying there's a short or opening in the circuit wire. Where is this located at on my car so that I can look at it to see if there's a problem with it.
  6. I have a 91 LS 400 and my check engine light is on. I took it to Auto Zone and the code came back 28 bad O2 sensor before the converter on the right. The way I understand the exhaust system there is a sensor in front of the converter and one behind. Auto Zone said I needed to get 2. Are they saying I need to replace the front and back because both of them are bad or do I just need to replace the front one?
  7. Do the guys who have replied to me I had the battery taken to AutoZone where it was purchased from and it says the battery is good. I took the battery home and when my friend was putting it in the car for me sparks were coming from the positive terminal and he said that shouldn't be happening and that's why he said it may be something electrical or perhaps the trunk light which doesn't go off may be draining it.
  8. I recently replaced the alternator on my LS 400 this weekend and I've had to recharge the battery twice. Someone mentioned that something electrical may be draining the battery. I'm going to take it to the shop however I wanted thoughts from owners who may have had the same problem and what the resolution was.
