  1. Yep... found that company.... its like 1200 bucks for LED clear bottom half lenses... looks okay, but for 1200 bucks??? I think its because its an LED upgrade
  2. Thanks for the words of wisdom AWJ Honestly, I've never been a car guy that took apart motors and put them together. I'm always working, working out, reading up on my field of business (home inspection). I really would like to learn, but ... its hard :( I guess I would like to get up to 500rwhp, and if that can be done with just the ge motor, then thats awesome, I'd go with that :) I did see that F-Max made a turbo kit that produced like 320 RWHP for like 5,000 I think. Is that possible, or what could just the GE motor put out as in HP (without NOS) Thanks again for all your help :)
  3. Yes... everyone has their own opinion.... Honestly, when I saw the pics of the front shot of the kit on a lexus, it reminded me of that Orange Supra from Fast and the Furious.... it just did :) and I thought that was kick azz :)
  4. I want that same kit :) I have no idea where to get it. Like you said, I'm not "feelin" the rear part of it, but I wonder if a mod could be made so the tips wouldn't be "in" the bumper..... but if you want that full ground effects kit, might have to deal with it... because if you ditched the rear bumper, it might be weird Let us know if you find it or find any info on it ;)
  5. Thanks for all the help guys... So Powerhouse Racing is the place to go then huh? I guess I'll go down there and let them do their "thing" to my car..... There are a few shops up here that claim they can do the conversion, but they don't have a reputation of doing the swap or proof :( Later :)
  6. I don't have the Lexus yet... going to very soon.... it will probably be a '96+ model...
  7. Sorry.... I wrote that kinda late last night and wasn't thinkin' too much :). I remember reading that our engines are the same as the Supras except, like you said, not turbo'ed. Now, the $7,500 conversion, does it add any horsepower or does it just convert our engines to a GTE one? Curious.... because for 10,500..... Powerhouse will do all the conversion, plus the twin turbos and they claim 450 horsepower :) It would be nice to :chairshot: some of those Camaro SS, Corvettes, and Vipers :)
  8. Just went to a webpage for the Supra and saw the sp60 turbo kit.... and sounds like the one I would get. Do these kits bolt on to the stock SC300 engine? What mods need to be done? It was around 5,000+ (like 5,400 or something) ... does this include everything necessary or do I need intercoolers, etc? Thanks in advance for the help :)
  9. Thanks guys :) Yeah, I think I was learning about the SP57 turbo and thinking about getting that when I had the car and money :) Thanks again for all the help :) I really appreciate it
  10. Yeah... I don't like the "spooling" etc... since I won't go to the track.... maybe once to get a timeslip, but not hardcore racing, except from street light to street light. I was thinking about the T-60 or is there a T-50 something? Also, the question about getting a bigger turbo. I've heard you can only go so fast with pump gas (like 525 rwhp) and more on race fuel. So could I get a T78 (just an example) and still use pump gas, or do I have to use race fuel or else it will damage it?? Thanks again for the info :)
  11. Hi again... I was curious on where to get aftermarket tail lights or have them made? I've looked everywhere and don't see any of the "clear" tail lights that a lot of Hondas, Acuras, etc... have. I see them for the other Lexus', but not the SC300. Any idea why they don't make them. Also, any idea where I could ship my tail lights to where they could do some customizing? Maybe make them clear or something? Thanks again for the help :)
  12. So instead of wasting 10 grand for a twin turbo, I could just get a turbo (which one?) and get the intercooler, etc.... and it would be just as good as the twins? I've heard that a good turbo is better then stock twins.... also, I"ve heard from Powerhouse that the Lexus can only produce 525rwhp (about) with 93 octane gas.... but if I got a T78 turbo or something, will 93 octane gas be bad for it and do I always have to run racing fuel? Just a little confused on that. Up here in Minnesota, there are VERY few Lexus that are turbo'ed... I saw a few on Ebay, but they are half way across the country (but hey, if its worth it, I guess I'd fly there)....So 10K in parts could put the Lexus SC300 over 400 RWHP without NOS? Thanks again for the help :D
  13. Hey everyone, I'm new here. I'm switching from my Chevy S10 to a SC300 soon. I am saving up for Powerhouse Racing to put 2JZGTE engine in it also, and their homepage says it costs about $10,500. I know its hard work and all, but is that a decent price? Would anyone on the forum do it for a little less? Any info would be appreciated :) Thanks :)
