  1. I think if you go on the nav system, under info trip info it shows a trip timer
  2. Here are pics in the back of the 400h, tell me what you think
  3. I too have the same issue with my 250 where i want to upgrade, i tinted my taillights and moved up north and its illegal, i got pulled over and got a ticket so while i am fixing my tail lights might as well do HID head lights
  4. I will throw in tthe back of the 400h tonight to get some pics of it all wired up I still need to wrap the box
  5. Okay so back a whille i posted i was going to be doing some work on my rx400h because of a delay timing issue, I did and it is all better now, I even took it to a track and hit 110mph in it with no delay in the brakes well now i am pulling out the back seats, and putting in dual 15" subs and amp with a play station 3 and tv, i will post pics and i continue on this project... i also had a request for some of my previous work i had done and here they are
  6. I would just use a Super Toyota K+CAN commander
  7. Why don't you show us some of your previous work? Because as of right now you just sound a little... nuts. I will post pics later of the LX470 i finished not to long ago
  8. It would not be a good idea to modify the braking controller or rewire the actuators in any way. The regenerative braking is an integral part of the HSD and a safety concern... not just for you but for the innocent victim you may run into when your little mod develops a glitch. Why not wait until we see what the recall does to correct this braking behavior issue. In the meantime, just being aware of the behavior has allowed me to compensate in my driving technique. I have learned to brake earlier and more aggressively than I would normally think is called for, especially when doing down hill over rough terrain. It's much easier to retrain your habits than to unilaterally re-design one of the most complex automotive systems on the planet. I'm just sayin. Dont worry i just need some help in the design, i wont actually put the sysem on the rx400h for a LONG time. ill try our the system a FSAE car and a "hybrid" shifter kart im working on. i need a measurement or ratio for the force or braking power of the electic regenerative braking system. sorry if my grammers not good, im dislexic and have had alot of my grammer errors pointed out in my other posts
  9. I was typing on my iPhone for a while when i set most of this up. My grammer sucks when I type up stuff on my iPhone. My bad.
  10. HAHA yeah my spelling is kinda bad, im dislexic so spelling and english are hard as sh** but math, art, engineering and everything are easy. I love working with my hands, i love working with computers, cars, jet skis, boats. designing new things and building them. im waiting to get the 400h back to try out the new shifter system. and i need to do a few more test in the is250 to fine tune it. If you want to make fun of my ideas feel free to. i dont mind, im working on putting a honda cbr600rr engine in a go kart at the moment
  11. The motors don't directly drive the wheels, so the tranny is not sending information to the electric motors. The motors drive some sort of gear that is part of or connected to the tranny. However, in YOUR particular vehicle, I'm blaming the gerbils and their exercise wheel. When you put YOUR car into drive, some gerbil food falls into a tray just out of reach of the gerbils. As they run for it, the exercise wheel spins and powers the front wheels. In reverse, the food falls into a different tray, causing the gerbils to run the other way. Maybe radiation from the dilithium crystals are affecting the gerbil's sense of directions?? Maybe the flux capacitor has gone bad. If you don't hit the 1.21 gigawatts the motors don't get enough energy to drive in the correct direction. Im going to have to do some testing on the car to see what it is. moniter power, all controlls and everything I have finished the design for the push button tanny and will try it on our is250 before installing on the rx400h, The 400h has been with lexus servis for the past few days now
  12. Telling me I'm too young doesn't help, I'm 16, but I'm a computer systems engineered, how Lexus is set up and the wiring andost Lexus models isn't very complicated for me. I created devices way more complicated like a push button ebrake for drifters, knowing what sets the transmission into drive is all I needed to know. Our 400h was the 5 sold to public so maybe it might be that it was so old and such an early car it wasn't "fine tuned" to have all the bugs worked out. The dash board light go black to at tomes, not like it is switching to night mode or what ever but strait up *BLEEP*s off while driving. The car still runs and instruments still work but the car lights go black. I'm halfway threw creating a new car super compute. For the 400h. This will be able to run the car from the navigation system. Of an error or problem occurs, it will be recorded. I'm going to be doing alot of testing on the track the many new systems I have developed for the 400h is250, is300, and lx470. Lexus are very expense, but money has no value to me, but if I can impr
  13. On my 2006 lexus RX400h I have had a problem occure once every 13 months, my mom was driving the car when she parked at the mall, got in to head home, started the car, put it in drive, and the car started moving backwords, she then put it in reverse and the car moved fowards. She shut off the car, turned it back on, and the car was fine... another 13 months later the same thing happend. now im 16, yet i have a great deal of expirence developing and designing new products and fixing problems so dont judge. but during my driving test to get my licenses i had it occur during the parallel parking. Drive sent the car backwords, revrese sent the car forwards. I finished the rest of my driving test with the car saying it was in reverse (confused the hell out of the driving instructor) We have taken the car to lexus every time and they send it back to us a week later saying there was nothing wrong, Now that it is occuring more often I need to make a fix. I havent done much research on the RX400h tranny but im doing it now. what i need to know: how is the RX400h tranny set up? does the car use a computer or electronics to put in in gear when you switch it to drive? does the tranny send the information to the electric motors so it know weather to go forwards or backwords? any info you have on this subject is helpful depending on how the tranny is set up i might try to create and test a new system where i just have to push a button with drive written on it and it will switch the RX400h into drive. To park, you tap the park, reverse, you tap the revers. which will be located on the center consol. depeding on how the tranny is set up. I will post pics and update you on how this *PUSH BUTTON GREARING* is doing. I have a few other question about diffent issues and problems with the RX400h and im creating some new devices and inventions so if you have knowlage about the RX400h, please view my other posts and help me out.
  14. 2006 RX400h has a braking problem, where i have seen in other post happen when braking and the car hits a bump or pot hole, well i have seen the same problem when the RX400h is going down a hill (Auburn Washington has a lot of hills) when braking it starts to brake, then lets go. i learned about why this happens but now im working on a fix. I have herd of people having this brake problem before and herd of some people where their cars ended up rolling into the intersection and ended up being hit by cars. what I need to know is: When the brakes switch over, how does the car know when to switch, and how does the switching mechenism work? any info will help me What im doing: Im creating a controller to apply the brake presure to equal the same braking power as the electric motors during the inetial switch over of the cars. I have a few other question about diffent issues and problems with the RX400h and im creating some new devices and inventions so if you have knowlage about the RX400h, please view my other posts and help me out.
  15. I have a 2003 LX470, and friday night I was on the way to a friends house when i got into the car. I realized the key was cracked and didnt think much of it. I started the car and took off. I pulled over at a gas station to get something to drink. As i was trying to start the car to leave the gas stationg, the plastic key housing snapped. its about 8:20pm so i call lexus, and tell the lady what happened, she says "Sorry but our parts and servis department isnt open till monday so you will have to call back monday during business hours our stop by monday morning" This lady was being dead serious, with out the key, i cant start the car to get home. I'm starting to just get to the point of screw this and start walking. I told the lady at lexus "Ma'am i dont mean to worry you but im in the middle of a back road with no cities around for 2 hours. i have been driving and driving looking for a house or gas station or something. You are really going to leave me?" she responds with "Catch a ride to the nearest town and call for help" *I called her from my cell phone, i guess that didnt phase her* well we got a spare key and got home, but both of my keys are cracked. How much should i pay for a new one, Lexus wants $70 for new plastic housing. This seems rediculous since they seem like they would cost $5 to make.
