  1. I looked at the fuses and relays in the engine bay and they all looked like the could use some electrical grease. I applied some to all of them. Could this have been the issue? Any other possibilities? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Yeah no dash no nothing... I've checked the battery and everything is secure. I'll look into the main engine relay. I dont know if this helps but I recently had to have my car's computer replaced due to only half of the pistons working. Also it seems to happen more after some driving and will eventually start again after a little bit of waiting...
  3. My car is having an issue where it will not start sometimes. I usually have no trouble when it's from a cold start. But SOMETIMES after a little drive my car will have no power. My alarm will not disengage. When I enter manually there will be no power when I turn the key. Usually after a little while it'll start back up but it seems like its taking longer for it to start back up. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. I took my car to the mechanic and told me a few things. The most important of which he said was the that the catalytic converter was messed up. So he said to take it to a myffler place first. Also it's leaking from the rack and pinion.

  7. yeah I switched out the pcv valve but broke the hose going to it. Looks like a 3 day order part from the dealer. So I haven't checked if that's the problem. But all the hoses appear to hold the vaccum. About the smoke; I hadn't noticed any smoke from the exhaust before the other day, besides on cold start ups. And yeah I'm going to get the PS fixed soon. I saw there is a tutorial for it on lexls.

  9. Ok. I don't remember clearly but I believe I may have been accelerating when it occured. I'm not sure if it was WOT.
  10. Also the smoke does not appear to be coming from the area of the pcv valve. It's on the passenger side and appears to be hitting the manifold. Also there is now smoke coming out of the tailpipe(white/ blue in appearance.
  11. That's goood. I've been trying to find the source of the leak but failed. There are leaks everywhere it seems like. Not to mention that I am aware of my powersteering leaking as well. It's a 1993 LS400 with about 175K miles on it. Sorry I am not familiar with WOT. WHat does that mean?
  12. Hello everyone. Yesterday while driving to the gym, I heard a "pop" followed by the sudden loss if acceleration. i immediately pulled over to check under the hood. I noticed smoke coming out. So I went back to my house to look a little closer at it and noticed the smoke rising near the intake manifold as well as from under the car. It appeared to be leaking oil on to the muffler on the right side. Could this be a simple pcv replacement? If so can someone show me where exactly it's located? Also there was no mixture of the oil and radiator fluid... if thath helps.
  13. This sounds identical to a problem I am having. I heard a "pop" and suddenly had no acceleration. I could not find anything on a acv valve. Could someone help me find some posts on here. Thanks.
  14. I recently had my check engine light come on my 1993 ls400. I noticed however that as I drive and accelerate the check engine light goes away. I then read the codes and saw the codes for the throttle position sensor and No. 2 knock sensor. Looking at lexls, I believe that I can do the TPS by myself but I have no idea where the No. 2 knock sensor is. A few months back, while changing out a bad starter, with the help of a mechanic friend, I changed a knock sensor out. So can anyone tell me where to find the NO. 2 knock sensor? Is the TPS and Knock related in a way that could cause one to "set off" the other?
