  1. I've been following this thread with great amusement. Did you ever hear the expression, "The pot calling the kettle black"? Well here's a perfect example as pertains to an above posting: "All you had to do was leave out all that smug smarta$$ talk and I would have had a better time stomaching or "heading" ,as you say, your advise; the word is Heed not Head, and you call me a moron? " The proper use of the word in this case should be "advice" NOT "advise". So there. LOL :D
  2. http://writ.news.findlaw.com/ramasastry/20050823.html I've never seen this in a rental agreement and I rent cars all the time... ← You might find this article interesting: http://writ.news.findlaw.com/ramasastry/20050823.html
  3. I had a similar problem in an older car, and it turned out to be water in the gas. After dumping out this bad tankful all my problems went away. Just a thought. :)
  4. I tend to recommend staying away from things like this. If improperly done, you could ruin a set of tires - or cause an accident due to a blowout at high speed. Even if properly done, I doubt if it's going to add all that much to a properly designed tire (placebo effect notwithstanding). Tire manufacturers spend millions of dollars designing their tires and optimizing hundreds of parameters. Let's just say I'm skeptical that a guy with no more qualifications than that he knows how to use a razor knife is going to be able to improve it significantly. And even if you can add a couple percent better performance, is it worth risking your life over? ← I couldn't agree more! Well said! B) ← I double agree. :)
  5. Well, it's your job to find out the name.....I've never found it. LOL
  6. If possible, could you ask your dealer if he has a TSB number for this update? This way I could speak to my dealer and ask them if they have it available.
  7. Vegas is a lot different then Orlando. wouldn't you say? Lexkid asked in his first post about renting in Orlando, not Vegas! :chairshot:
  8. I doubt that you're going to find any auto rental places that has Lexus's in Orlando. I tried getting one a few years ago without any luck. Ended up with a Mercedes. ;)
  9. Then I guess you don't believe what Lexus claims. Then the next step is to ask SW03ES. :P :D :P
  10. I thought that ALL the wood trim used on either the ES300's or 330's were made of REAL wood. ← That has been a never ending arguement....no1 knows for sure if it's real or not....but it does look fake as far as i can tell. ← I still don't understand why it should be an argument since the Lexus Corporation claims that they use real wood in all the trim! I don't think they'd lie about that since they can be brought to court for lying! :chairshot:
  11. I thought that ALL the wood trim used on either the ES300's or 330's were made of REAL wood.
  12. This is the new upgraded fuel gauge that I had installed in my car. :D :D :D :D :D
  13. This is a matter of opinion. http://wiki.ehow.com/Stop-Windshield-Wiper...-from-Squeaking
  14. Never use wax on the windshield! Only use products designed to clean auto glass.
  15. I left the default setting on my '03 ES. It works out extremely well for me. Is there any reason you would want to change it?
  16. Sure, why not. Since they're stable mates, there shouldn't be any problems with servicing your car.....and it'll be less $$$ :)
  17. Plenty of engine details and specifications in the 92 to 96 Haynes Camry manual.......and it's only about $12. Google Haynes. :)
  18. I rented a new Hyundai Sonata from Hertz in Scottsdale, AZ a few months ago. It was loaded with just about all the accessories offered. Well, I can vouch for the build quality and overall performance. It was an excellent vehicle in all respects. The next time I rent a car I definitely will ask if they have one available. :)
  19. The delay in reacting is probably the reason why the car rides so harshly. The fact that it's the same on both sides leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the electronic controls that adjust the dampening of the struts. I think your best bet is to take it to a Lexus dealer and have them check it out.
  20. Yes, it's called a Beaglemobile. LOL :D
  21. You know you're driving too fast when you turn around and look in your back seat and see this....
  22. So, what's so unusual? Everybody drives like that in NYC. LOL :P
  23. I have the the one from spoiler depot as you can see in this post. It's excellent in all respects, but the price is about 4 times higher then the one advertised on ebay. The one on ebay is very similar to the dealer equipped spoilers that are sold for Toyota Camry's.......that, I didn't want on my Lexus, otherwise I think it's a great deal.
