  1. I did pay for some of the goodies....It is a great kit. The guy who did the install orig was a bozo! I took it to the dyno, added the super AFC, new plugs and the thing came alive! The dude may have stole some parts? :( The new shop did a great job, and I am pleased! It is the stage 2. I wasnt aware the super chargers are not being built anymore by SRT....I do want to post some shots but, I havnt found how to do that! I guess I better get to reading eh! Thanks man....
  2. At www.autofreak.net you can get a japanese wax called fusso coat. or newing wax from soft co. It has a cleaner step and wax. It will go on easy and wipes off to a show car shine. I like it..... it can be purchased for spacific paints such as white, silver, black for pearl or matallic finishes. It has some kind of top coat carbon formula crap that is good for the protection and coloring of your finish! :) its about 23 bucks....
  3. I didnt think of that! How did you get that photo? I am too old to get into a tree to do that......I may even try the house but? the last time I was up there I about ended up in the drive! Well it didnt help when by boy shot an air rocket at me !Removed!! I will get my photos up!
  4. Our cars could be twins man! I also have a silver car with the Mac body kit. I think the name was ( blick as the style produced by MAC) Utahs roads are the wors for picking up chips......The winter and hot summer also plays a roll in the quick death of a paint job! I got the turbo running good so far. I need some cool tail lights..... I will post some pictures! LOOKS GREAT B) LEXO
  5. Sorry for a repeat.....The gains are not as much as the turbos, and RMM has it in mind to add a little not a lot, and may not be worth your cash if you are looking for great gains! But the RMM kit is nice and easy to work with......So I hear! :P
  6. DO IT ! man I have the SRT Turbo on my GS300! The SRT kit will not come with all the goodies you need to have it running smooth. I noticed SRT does not come with any fine tuning equip like fuel management and boost controll. You will need to have those to have the care tuned for normal driving. SRT's super charger has been out for a while and is a little more complete as a kit. I do admire the RMM kit and is a smooth kit! Ask Around, do your research......it's a big step. My SRT is on and smokes! I did some fine tuning and I am happy with the Turbo...... LEXO
  7. I went way to much! The sky is the limit. If ou ask the Japanese the largest rim they would put on our car is a 19" I went with 20" chrome. My wheels are 245 on front with 265 on rear. I too have the 8.5 rim on front with the rear at 10. This is to help widen the rear look and still fit in the wells. It also makes for a sport look. The rear needs widening. I am into my rims and tires 3,800.00 rims very in price you realy need to look at what you want. I have a 2" drop as well. I went with shocks and springs. The ride is just fine but not as stiff as I would like for the corners. Systems? well....The sky is the limit. Start with a high power deck and get it installed right. Dash kits are not many for our car, so you may run into some crap that way. :o I would consider a little time and work to put speakers in the doors. The stock ones are small 4" or so? I wanted 6" at least to get any sound that was good and full. I have infinitys all around. I also replaced my sub....MTX I left the hole open in the rear and went with a custom box to fit in the back opening so the trunk still had space, and used the hole as a port. This helps get bass into the cab. You will find our cars are very well padded for noise. I hav a flip down Pioneer ( all silver ) I am into it about 1,100.00 or so......   8. Well guys.....I got the SRT turbo tuned up, timed and added a AFC along with a new boost cotrl. My dyno read at 4200RPM 315 HP at the rear...... I am close to 9.2 lbs of boost. I need new plugs and wires! but when the ol girl kicks in ^$*&*% fast. I am out 7,800 or more at this point :( I say what the hell! I need some other little toys to tune her better.....we will see how long the ol trany holds up! so far it's all smooooth :P AWJ how goes the battle with yours? all well? let me know your info if you read this. I will get some photos up soon. I am into the VIP Sedan thing from Japan.....The only thing I need is tons of pimpy fur! :o I guess from now it's on to the brakes!

Well, you wont gain much.....If you start to put any extra power to it to get more base the back end of your deck lid area will rattle and sound bad! it's made as a free air space speaker so you cant get to much out of it! It's up to you....I tried it and gained nothing but rattle. Ask around here at the pages, maybe I am wrong? Take care man! LEXO
  10. The center right? The ol factory sub..It's 10" free air sub that runs with your factory amp. Check a few wreck yards...often you can get one in good shape. Stay in the same power range for best sound. If you upgrade to a more watt model you will find it sounds like crap..... Drop in an aftermarket sub and box! You will need an amp though.........Oh be sure it's open or free air style sub... :P
  11. Thank God I live in Utah.....94 oct is about 1.68 a gal. With turbo, I tend to burn it up good.....Got to spank the red necks out here in the ol pick ups that race me ( well try anywho ) B)
  12. I would have the trans checked for fluid. It may even have a small leak on the rear seal between the motor and it. I am not sure if this will cause to slow quickly, but will cause some minor smoke at high speeds. In the long run you could loose or bind a gear. Under coating should not be in that area? You are not slipping or missing a gear so if you act quick you may find a minor fix..... I am leaning toward a seal going out or leak/ low trans fluid. It would not hurt to have the (rear end) seal checked while your at it. it could cause some binding and may not notice the sounds..... Good luck and welcome to the group!
  13. The dealers hate tricked out rides. I have 20's with a 2" drop. If you lower any more than 1.5 you start to loose ride.....You can hit corners much better! 2 or 2.25 works ok with 20's :P

  15. Any car you take care of will be fine...take good care in selecting a used car. I have the GS300 ( I fell in love with the in line 6 ) it has been in production for years and years in Japan. I have had both cars a 99 and 2000 300/400. What can I say other than check it out! take it to a shop, or other dealer to check it over....ask questions and remember to keep in mind what you want out of the car. If you are looking for tons of performance upgrades/ the in line 6's are bullet proof makes and a tad bit simpler to modify.....the 8's are great power plants and both built very well...Oh what a feeling ( Toyota ) the Aristo known to our Japanese buddies.   16. Man I am broke! Turbo is smooth! I am in to mine more than I thought......I am very pleased with the power. I wish I had done more research. I am happy to know things went well for you. I added the AFC and did some timing/tune up for the SRT kit and blamo...byby V8! my doodads tingle! Keep up the tuning, any add info you get let the rest of us know.....LEXO
  17. AWJ Is one to listen to! I have a SRT t4 kit on my stock 2JZGE. I had it installed and out the door for around 7,000. I had problems with fuel delivery at low end. The larger injectors were dumping tons of gas, and the car would not run good at all. My kit came with a Apexi timer and a piggy back fuel management system. It did not work well at all. I needed a AFC control unit ( Super AFC air flow converter ) I stuck it on the dyno to get the full ( low end and high end ) fuel delivery worked out and re timed the motor to handle the new injectors and computer since I have no CAT's. It is GREAT! love the power, and it is smooth like the factory sold it that way. The tuning cost me 500.00 and the AFC was around 450.00 installed. Check your kit, make sure you have a good fuel system computer or piggy back. most kits come with the inercooler and all needed hardware.....you need only the cash, and a heavy foot! GS300lexo.
  18. Well. Out the door was 6,500.00 Utah is a cheap place to buy. I had a fun time driving the thing home from the shop. I did notice the lag or some type of sputtering. The thing was not smooth less I was on it! it flew when I hit the gass! I got to get that worked out! I have a body kit from Japan ( BLICK ) produced by MAC. It rolls on 20" chromies..... I lowered it 2" and run dual 3 " pipes. ( Magnaflows) I tinted the thing 5% and have VIP Special white bulbs. ( I get pulled over daily!)
  19. Ok Dudes...SRT stage 2 is on. I have the Apexi Auto timer and A/F adj. When I push the gas it lags and chugs....IfI give it gas then it goes like hell! Whats the problem? It is a 99 GS300 silver with the Imported body kit MAC( Blick) I love lis car...What can I do to have it work like normal then have the boost kick in? I have the 3' down pipe and dual muff's. The air filter looks a bit small for this type of ap? could it be air?
