  1. The following are two of my online albums... http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/647525/3 http://www.californiafords.com/cgi-bin/alb...?album=00000265 LMK what you guys think...
  2. 01 V8 GT with what 260HP stock compared to an IS300 I-6 with 215HP? Thats a big difference to me. I guess you gotta sacrifice power and speed for reliability and luxury. If I could keep only one car out of a Mustang GT / Cobra and the IS, it would would probably end up being the IS by just a nose. Im just happy i dont have to shift anymore, the ride quality & handling is WAY better, and i have somewhat a peace of mind that something wont go wrong with any parts on the car if i choose to hit 100+MPH on the highway. Test drive an IS and take your time with your decision. Remember "F-O-R-D" Found On Road Dead etc. etc. etc. LOL :D , Whenever i get an itch to smell some rubber and I just get in the Cobra and let it all out.
  3. Capone turns 3 on the 9th of this month, Romy is 2, and Mischko was only 4 months old in that last picture. Capone and Mischko(Capone's Son) are the housedogs while Romey owns the backyard with his new little brother Tiger (Not pictured who is also Capones' son) and he is 9 weeks old. Capone is the ringleader of the bunch, and i would have to say, his genetics do show around other unfamiliar dogs when he feels threatened. Very stubborn & hyperactive dogs as pups, as they do take a lot of time and dedication, but it all pays off in the end. As for any dog, they grow up to act the way they are raised and i would have to say I have done an excellent job. No complaints here. They are all great with the kids, nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends and they are all beach, restaurant, & park friendly. Except Capone that is. Very well trained, especially with ppl except when other dogs come up to him. You gotta watch this guy man, he'll hand your chihuahua over to you in pieces.
  4. Yeah, or your battery now has a bad cell and wont hold a charge. Replace it and ease your worries.
  5. Capone Romeo Mischko APBT's
  6. I use a liquid wax sold in 32oz containers from a company locally called Production Car Care Products (Stockton, CA) off of Sanguinetti Lane, they are contracted by almost all used car dealerships around the area and my opinion is that its the best wax i've ever used. With their wax, the finished product is much better, lasts longer, and you only have to WIPE off the wax after applying. No need for a buffer, or digging in real hard (breaking a sweat)like when using pasty substances like Turtle Wax or Meguiars. If all my cars are already washed, i can wax all three cars in less than 2 hours and look good as new for WEEKS. Try an internet search, they might ship.
  7. Yes it is illegal in CA to have your front driver and passenger side windows tinted but being pulled over for only that reason alone all depends on the officers discretion. I have all my windows in the Cobra and the IS tinted and have been pulled over three times in the Cobra and have only recieved one fix-it ticket out of the three, the other two just let me slide. I just payed the 76.00 fine for the one, called it a day, and never had to take my tint off. Rear side windows and the rear window from what i know can be as dark as you like. My suggestion if you plan on tinting all of your windows and live in CA, be prepared to be a dumbass and roll your front window down if a cop pulls up next to you, even in the winter season. LOL. I highly doubt a cop would really want to pull someone over though only for tint unless he's really in a bad mood, especially since your in a Lexus. Seems to me the real noticeable & loud cars with the young kids driving them are the main culprits who keep getting tagged for them..(ie:my Cobra) Dont know too many ppl who own Mercedes, Lexus', and BMW's being pulled over for that.
  8. Yep, but I was trying to stay away from paying Shipping & Handling fee's for wheels. At least a seller within CA, i can actually pay in cash or what not and pick up personally. Which is what i did for my spare sets of wheels for our Cobra. Hey, since your a mod on the site, is it okay for me to post ads such as this since i have been looking for ppl who want to sell used parts/wheels? Dont want to break any rules you know. ;)
  9. Looking to purchase a used set of polished / chrome IS wheels, anyone in CA want to sell?
  10. How's it going everyone? My wife and I just purchased a 2001 Lexus IS 300 a few weeks ago with 65K miles. She mainly drives the car for work and school and I still have my toy, but im now stuck with the detailing and maintaining of both vehicles. Some questions i need help with are the following... 1) I really like the OEM wheels on the IS but would like a second set in Chrome, does anyone know who has any for sale locally? (Northern California, Central Valley Area) 2) After staring at the front end for a bit last weekend after vacuuming out both cars in 98 degree heat, i noticed that the orange front bumper lenses throws off the rest of the headlights and foglights somewhat.....where would i be able to purchase the clear front bumper lenses i sometimes see and would the install be difficult? and 3) is it true that you cannot take your Lexus to a dealer to have the Navigation/DVD system installed. I was told by Lexus of Sacramento that "if it didnt come like that, you cant do it, we get it like that from Japan" and Lexus of Modesto replied opposite? I really like the stock set-up of the IS Navigation system and want to keep the car as stock as possible. No Ricer look, No Pimp Daddy look, just comfortable daily driver.
