Can you explain why it did not work at the summer time and works now? Nobody touched these seats. ← I got one for you the dealer told me i had to use the auto heat button be able to feel them because of moisture control. I did turn it on it does effect them...go figure.

I called lexus they said it's between the 77 and 113... so i said well that a difference of 33 degree's what determines if it's going to be 77 or 113 do i have to flick the on off switch a certain # of times to get that 113? i told them as a human my body temp is 98 so if it is always 77 i don't know i have heated seats. They are calling me back in two days.......fyi the replacement was done by my after market warrenty for that kind of money they would have stayed broke. If i had knew they could have paid me off to not fix them a lot cheaper...i wouldn't not have had them do the work to stay lame ... i feel scammed cause it never improved.

Someone please help...I have an 01 gs 300 i thought the heated seats were broke the dealer said no...i took them to a different dealer they said yes...they replaced them costing 5,400 they still suck. One guy said I have to use my auto heat button to make them work. That helped a little there sometimes I feel them really well other times nothing.....they are always slow to start and never get very hot. Please tell me if anyone else has this problem are they supposed to be poor? thanks, donna

well i got mine july 21, 2004 i have had to put a/c filter 25 bucks, I have had to put other air filter 25 bucks, in 2,000 miles i will have to spend 300 for the trans service which wil be at 2,000 miles then if all goes well the next big one is at 90,000 which i've been told is 1,200 bucks...oh if the lighter is bad that's 25 bucks make sure you check i got lucky my dealer let me take one out of another car...never thought to check the two filters.....I LOVE my car....haven't had it very long though...I would say AWESOME CAR...let someone else pay full retail the second you buy any car it immediately depricates.....hope that helps B)

Hi all, Well I went down to the dealer and they gave me back my check....I told them if they come up with an invoice I will give them back the check.....I can't imagine they would give back the check if they had actually paid for the keys or if it was true. I wanted so bad to believe them and have hope that there was away around the ecu..thanks all :chairshot:

my lexus dealer in seattle has parts off of warrenty keys that they give out...i find that things very from dealer to dealer..the seattle lexus wouldn't warrenty my key...but lexus of tacoma did warrenty my key and now they will do all my services...so check with the parts guy see if they have any spares and if they dont call another dealer they will part with them for free...good luck

ok here is what i have found out this web site they are referring to is http://www.streetkeys.com phone number is 866-289-5397 here is what there website says......Your vehicle's Engine Control Unit (a device that approves or denies engine ignition based on the key you use) must be replaced or reprogrammed in order to add new keys. Our affiliate will remove your ECU and either replace it or reprogram it, and this may take up to a few days. Your key blank(s) will be cut by code when no working keys are present. The cut key(s) will be sent to our local affiliate who will activate the key(s). The key(s) will be activated & given to you only after proof of ownership has been established. You must present our affiliate with your current registration and driver license to prove ownership. Otherwise, the key(s) will be sent back to us & no refund will be given for the cost, shipping, or code-cutting of the keys, and no refund will be given for replacement or repgramming of the ECU ......now when i called my dealer and told them that street keys said that they would need the master key to program the new key....and I need an invoice showing you paid for this key..they said we will give you back your money and come pick up your check tonight.....so what does that say...the dealer had the second set of keys to my car the entire time and was trying to make an extra 100 bucks if there ever prove invoice..I will let you all know....

I got two keys that work for my car on valet and one master that work without them ever touching my car or master key. Now i have 2 masters and a valet. I still don't understand how they did it. ????

Well I purchased an 01 lex gs 300 came with 1 key. The non lexus dealer said for 100 bucks they could get me a referbushed key and a valet key. So I said go for it. Without them ever touching my master key or my car they DID IT. I pulled up on saturday they handed me two keys and they both worked. The car and the master were in my posestion the entire time. How did they do it????? I was under the understand that it was impossible to have a key made to my vehicle without the master. They say they will give me the website to the place got the key from.

i just got refurbushed keys from a non lexus dealer for 100 bucks one valey and one master they say you can get them online without having to replace the computer and he will give me the website on monday you have to prove owner ship it controls my windows and starts my car I'm still in disbielf

Well I bought my first gs300 and I'm in love with it has 50k and I bought it for somewhere between 21 and 23. The reason i'm not sure it depends on how you look at it if you figure I got 10 for the trade it's 23 if you figure that every other dealer only wanted to give me 8 then I got it for 21. Take the one that you like the best if you don't you will regret it. I have purchased cars that I thought well this will do and ended up hating that I settled and traded them in. Drive more than one of the same car's and make sure to really shop around. I think my gs is quite, I havn't driven an es so can't compare...I wouldn't let miles be a factor you will pay for the lower miles that your going to put on it, unless it's high miles. I think as long as you have factory warrent so you can work out any kinks your good to go. If dealers think you have to have the car then they got ya. Don't be afraid to walk away and come back. I made my dealer give me a 3 day test drive before signing the papers. They are great cars that last a long time, so I hear :)

it is definately a step up from all other vehicles, it's got 50,000 miles and I just love it. No other dealer in my area would give me more than 8000 for my van. So i figured if I count what other dealers would have done I did alright. It's black chery pearl and no more mini van!!!!!! YEAH i love being a lexus owner. k'slexie dang you did awesome on yours....Eurogls what is the difference between the 400 vs the 300?......I can say one thing for sure once you go lex you never go back..and it's nice to have this website....It only took me seven days and reading the manual several times to figure out that the windows roll up with the key. THANK YOU EVERY ONE!!!! I really enjoy all of your reply's

my husband drives a 1998 chevy 1 ton it's a heavy duty, has a special oil cooling system. I had the breaks done once with out them being turned and it did vibrate after they were done, where it didn't before. This time we had them done and had them turned the problems is gone. I might believe every thing i'm told as long as when your shoveling it, it makes sense or is so beyond my understand I couldn't argue if I tried

oh and if anything they didn't true the rotors... on my hubby's truck we had the brakes done the guy said we had to have the rotors shaved I said why there new, he said if we didn't the vehicle would shake when braking..hope some of this helps

i had the same problem in my honda only when i braked it shook at lower speeds it was a bubble in the tire....might want to check that...I couldn't see the bubble at all i replaced the tire in disbelief and it fixed the problem

oh it's all factory and all works really nice but I get board quickly even with 6

sorry about that....i have a cd changer in the glove box....it's not safe to change cd's while driving...I would like to keep my cd changer and have an in dash cd player. so that i would have a seventh spot, that i can reach easily. i worry about changing out the stero that comes with lexus cause there nice....is there a solution?

ok so I have a 6 disc cd-changer, but I can't change disc when driving is there a way to have the cd changer. and be able to have a stero that has the indash cd player in addition. I love the stero that came with my car it's kinda strange that it allow's tapes. But hey, I want the cd change and to be able to add disc when driving any suggestion?

well i have only owned 1 nissan it it was a problem child, my friend own's a nissan and loves it.....I just purchased my first lexus today, I have been driving it since sunday i had until 2dy to give them back the car or a check for the car. Let me tell ya I love my lexus. I just found out yesterday my neighbor has had one for a year and a half and loves it, and so does a guy I work with and he also loves his lexus....I could never aford the 45,000 mine sold new for. I recommand taking the vin number call a lexus dealer and find out what the maintance history is any dealer can tell ya no mater what dealer it was serviced at and so can lexus. On sunday i wasn't sure, I called lexus monday morning and found out it was perfectly maintain. On tuesday I was telling myself who was i kidding 30,000 for a car. 2dy I decided well I only live once and I would rather have a really nice car used then settle for something I'm going to trade in later....in 98 i bought a ford contour brand new my first brand new car and let me tell ya it was the worst decision I ever made. Any car you buy new the second you buy it the value drops and drops hard why not let someone else take that hit. A lexus and a toyota will hold value better. It really helped me posting on this message board and hearing what others had to say.....also do a google seach nissan problems and see what kind of hit's you get...when i did lexus I was hard pressed to find any....I was also looking at an 01 accura tl i did a google search and found the transmissions are bad I called acura and they told me they just recalled the tranny on july 7th. Call the vin number in it's not confidental info they will tell you anything you want to know. I have done that with acura, dodge, and lexus....gooood luck.....and rule one car shopping always try to buy back of book I found my lexus books for 30,750. I did an autotrader search and found they sold between 34 and 19 the one for 19 had a lot of miles the low average was 28... Be informed or go to your bank draw out money and hand it to people as they walk by ...because if your not informed you will part with your money unnecessarly. It took me a 1yr and half to make a car purchase if the dealers think u have to have a car it gives them power, if they think you can walk away you win...my last five car purchase all the dealers let me take the cars home....before signing papers I was allowed 3dy test drive by most dealers the minium should be 1 day with the car with no pressure...I took home an acura mdx for 2dys and returned it, because it wasnt right...you can't figure out if you like it by going around the block.
