  1. So I could not overcome this programming roadblock. I cannibalized the new $210 actuator to get the $7.00 motor out and replaced the new motor with the old. Yes, it would have been cheaper to buy the motor off eBay, but I didn't have to pull the worm gear off. This was the second motor going in this actuator so the housing was in bad shape. JB Kwik Weld is holding on day two. The old unit now works and the programming issue has gone away, no thanks to help from this forum from the 155 viewers to date. Nevertheless, I will make a contribution to the Club.. Pasted below is is text from a local consumer advisor. Below that is an image of the broken cable end that I made functional with a paper clip. Enjoy: ! I have no idea what the dealer was up to but below is the description of what should happen with the key fob relative to the windows. The windows and usually the sunroof are linked to the key and fob so all windows and sunroof can be automatically opened or closed simultaneously. With this function it is possible the fob is not shutting off the signal or the control module is not responding properly. It is also possible that the new assemblies are not correct for the car or are not properly installed and or adjusted. At the bottom is the pin out for the control module. 3. POWER WINDOW OPERATION LINKED WITH DOOR KEY LOCK AND UNLOCK SW When the ignition key is inserted into the door key cylinder on the driver or passenger side and kept turned to the lock or unlock position for approximately 1.5 sec. or longer, all the door windows can be opened or closed. Power window close operation When the ignition key is inserted into the door key cylinder and kept turned to the lock position for 1.5 sec. or longer, the signal from the door key lock and unlock SW is input to TERMINAL KL of the driver door ECU or front passenger door ECU. Through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU etc., the current flows from TERMINAL UP of each door ECU into the power window motor to TERMINAL ON of the each door ECU to GROUND, to close all the door windows. Power window open operation When the ignition key is inserted into the door key cylinder and kept turned to the unlock position for 1.5 sec. or longer, the signal from the door key lock and unlock SW is input to TERMINAL KUL of the driver door ECU or front passenger door ECU. Through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU etc., the current flows from TERMINAL ON of each door ECU into the power window motor to TERMINAL UP of the each door ECU to GROUND, to close all the door windows. If any of the following conditions is detected, the power window operation is stopped. Approximately 10 sec. or longer has elapsed after starting open/close operation. Catching prevention function is activated. 4. POWER WINDOW OPERATION LINKED WITH TRANSMITTER When the unlock SW on the transmitter of the ignition key is kept pressed for 2.5 sec. or longer, all the door windows can be opened. Power window open operation When the unlock SW of the ignition key is kept pressed for 2.5 sec. or longer, the frequency received from the wireless door lock control ECU is input to the body ECU No.1. Through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU etc. ,the current flows from TERMINAL ON of each door ECU into the power window motor to TERMINAL UP of the each door ECU to GROUND, to open all the door windows. If any of the following conditions is detected, the power window operation is stopped. Approximately 10 sec. or longer have elapsed after starting open operation. The lock or unlock switch on the transmitter is released. Catching prevention function is activated. INSPECT GATEWAY ECU CIRCUIT Disconnect the connectors from the gateway ECU, and inspect the connector on the wire harness side. If the circuit is not as specified, inspect the circuits connected to other parts. HINT: Check the wire harness between radio receiver assembly and the gateway ECU. Sincerely,
  2. Specs in my owners manual for 2003 GS300/430 for Differential = 1.42 quarts, Hypoid gear oil API GL-5, SAE 80W-90.
  3. Okay, I replaced the front motors in the two front door lock actuators about two years ago. Recently, they started acting up again: had to use key or by hand from inside. I didn't want to replace the motors again, and decided to bite the bullet and get new actuator assemblies. I replaced both front actuator assmeblies with parts I ordered from a online Lexus dealer. The part numbers were 69040-3A071 and 69030-3A121 for my 2003 GS300. I was proud when I pushed the lock button on the key and they both locked. My pride lasted about a second. The windows rolled up and the sunroof shut also, and this had never happened before. Further, the unlock button would not make the doors unlock. The red light came on the key, but nothing happened. Worse, when I put the key in the door lock, it would not unlock the door manually. (Yes, that means that I could not get in the car because everything closed up.) Fortunately, one of the rear locks was unlocked and had gone bad after I ordered the new front door parts, so I could get back into the car that way. I visited my Lexus dealer, whom I barely know because the car is so trouble free and I change the oil myself. I was permitted to talk directly to a technician who left to look something up and came back to tell me that there should be no relationship between the power door locks and the windows going up and that is not a programmable feature. No help there, so I am pleading with my online community to offer guidance. I also asked about resetting the programming to factory specs. Duh. The only advice I got was to disconnect the battery (which I had not done during the changeouts) and let any capacitors discharge. Left the battery disconnected all night and same issues the next day. I just took the passenger door panel off and just don't see what the problem could be. Spare me the random guesses and someone with a good theory please jump in.
