  1. With Verizon, you're payin for the actual service/reliability. Cingular, cost efficient. I've tried both and still can't justify leaving Verizon, I just can't justify leavin' the sound quality/reliability of Verizon. Maybe quality depends on the state you're in?...
  2. 1000 psi? That's absurd. Imagine me boosting my car at 100psi...with an iron block...cmon now. A 30 gallon air compressor can't even take anything above 300 psi without givin' up on you....and we all know how thick the actual compressor wall is. For a P/S line, I'd say 200 psi max. I could bend that line with my hand.
  3. Have you looked into Defi gauges? They are much more reliable than Autometers. Does your car have side curtain airbags? Any pics of the interior?
  4. I think it's a misconception that German cars are less reliable than Japanese cars. My car (in stock form) was just as reliable as the last 3 Lexus' that I've owned. From personal experience and from browsing around on the forums...it seems like Lexus owners encounter the same issues as BMW owners.
  5. What problems are you encountering with your injectors? At 18 psi I would assume that those #'s should be much higher...42# injectors? What turbo and a/r are you running? Blow through or draw though MAF set-up? Did you take on tuning yourself? Wow, 400 whp on a stock converter...that's something. Try a level 10 converter, some torque gain to add to your dyno sheet. Were those numbers achieved on pump gas? Is that a fully built motor or are you on stock internals? Compression ratio/stock headgasket? Yeah, I know....a lot of questions, but I'm just curious.
  6. WTF? Hahahhhaha. Frostbite
  7. Yeah, Cali's smog hurts my wallet every other year. My car gets the "special" though. :whistles: What's the purpose of the different sticker? Do they inspect it differently in PA if your vehicle has that sticker? Does PA use the dyno for smogs, or is it a 2 speed idle test?
  8. The Consumer Assistance Problem is only a temporary "pass". Here in California it allows you a 1 year cushion to fix the problem, then you must get it repaired in order to pass the following year. So no back to back assistance/waivers are allowed.
  9. http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2006...2912142959.html How much to mod this unit? I want it to match the amber lights in my car.
  10. Steroids always work for me. Unfortunately my own 'nuts' are now the size of almonds. Stephen LOL
  11. Purchase an automotive stethoscope.
  12. Welcome to the club! I noticed in your signature that your car has an EGT gauge. Any special reason for the exhaust temp gauge? Do you auto-x?
  13. Place a 2 foot long hollow tube over the end of your wrench for more leverage. Then once you get them off, throw the lug nuts on the floor and cuss them out.
  14. Just buy the rings and install them in your existing headlights.
  15. Lextreme, What kind of power are you putting down at 16psi? Fully built? Auto tranny?
  16. Shocks
  17. Coochie
  18. Lol. Pregnancy
  19. Are you able to mod an aftermarket headunit? I wanted to replace mines with an aftermarket unit but the HU I want doesn't have amber lighting.
  20. Without an actual hands on diagnostic I can't guaranty anything, so don't hold me to this remote diagnostic. It appears that one of your catalytic converters are bad. Do you know which exhaust pipe the probe was inserted in? Maybe you could convince a smog tech to run the test on the opposite pipe. With HC levels being that high, the NOx levels should be much lower than that....especially with the CO being on the verge of failing also.
  21. I can vouch for seafoam. I use to be a smog tech and had a really good relationship with this car charity place. Well, one day they came in with a car that failed badly (high NOx)...he came back a few days later and the car passed with flying colors. I asked out of curiosity what method of repair was used (just for added knowledge) and his response was 1/2 a can of seafoam. I was still a little scepticle as to how a that liquid could help this car pass as if it were a new car, so I tried it on my own. I took emission readings reading prior to "seafoaming" and ran the same tests the next day, after I ran seafoam through it. The emission levels dropped over 50%. I've been a fan of seafoam ever since.
  22. I have a bimmer. You willing to play with it?
  23. Usually on cars with defective hub bearings, the nut is still on tight. If the nut is tight and you're still getting play, you should replace the hub bearing.
