  1. Here is a great article on using quick detail sprays. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/carcare/quick_detailing.htm
  2. Correct. It also saves your arms the next day!! Seriously, The PC 7424 will give outstanding results almost unatainable by hand. The way the paint looks after polishing and applying the Klasse with the PC will be amazing. Look at my post on the review of the new polishes. You might not need all three polishes, but just look at the finish of the black paint. Oh this is just polishes and has no wax or sealants on it! New Sonus SFX polish review
  3. I just received the new reformulated SFX polishes from Autopia. These polishes like to be worked! They stay wet and dont dry up. When you use them the residue that is left after polishing wipes off like butter. David Bynon really hit a home run with these polishes!!! Check out the work they did. I used the Sonus DAS pads and the PC on speed 4 or 5. New Sonus SFX polishes Here are two more before and after pictures I found. Before. After
  4. I just received the new Sonus Products. They come in 8oz bottles. First up is the Glass /Chrome polish I washed my cars yesterday, then had a phone call before I could dry them. Needless to say water spots...BIG time! I used the Glass/Chrome polish on my Truck as it had the worse spots. Just apply a dime size dab on a towel, MF applicator(I used this) or foam sponge and rub until the polish starts to dry. Then wait a few minutes and wipe off.I used Sonus Der Wunder Buffing Towels Water spots are gone. I really like the peppermint fragrance! I used it on chrome and again was not disappointed! All our cars are fairly new so the chrome is in good condition, but even still the chrome sparkled. The Next product I tried was my favorite. The Tire and bumper dressing gel. My Daughters Saab has some wax stains on the rubber trim. Check out the difference. I then tried this gel on the tires. It left a natural-shiny look. As it dried an hour later it was totally natural looking. If you want more shine, you can add another coat. The last product I tried was the Sonus spritz. detail spray. This is a new formula made for ALL waxes/sealants. Like Klasse, Autoglym Zaino, Wolfgang, NXT, #26, Etc. It also works great for wiping down carnuaba waxes like P21S, Soveran, Mothers, Blitz, and other carnuaba based waxes. The fragrance is a nice tropical smell. The sprayer woks great as it just sends out s slight mist so you don't use to much. There was no streaking and the paint felt very smooth and very slick. Here is a picture of the grill on my Daughters Saab with all three products used. Look how black the plastic grill became. The chrome even brightened up . Here is a picture of the products. I also have the new SFX Polishes. SFX-1,SFX-2 and SFX-3 plus the new Paintwork cleaner. I will post my reviews when I have time. Hopefully Friday.

  6. . I polished a 2000 Grand Prix GT black car last fall. I used the PC with Sonus SFX-1 SFX-2 and SFX-3 polishes. I used the DAS pad kit.(the PC is on sale for $119 and the DAS pad kit is on sale for $37.46. The orange pad waas used with the SFX-1 Restore polish on speed 4. Buff until the polish is almost gone, wipe excess off with micro fiber towel. Then put the green pad on and use SFX-2 enhance polish and repeat the steps previoiusly. The last step is the blue pad with SFX-3 final finishing polish. As you can see the results are amazing. It took me 10-15 minutes of polishing the one fender the pictures shows. With the right polish and the PC amazing results can happen. PC with DAS pad Kit On sale $8.36 Sonus SFX-1 Polish Sonus SFX-2 Polish On sale $8.36 Sonus SFX-3 Polish
  7. Agreed, Those are minute rock and sand chips, The only way is to replace the glass.
  8. The Sonus Acrylic Spritz is a quick detail spray. Not a wheel cleaner. For a safe wheel cleaner, I use Sonus Rim Brite. It really is safe. I have chrome and aluminum wheels on my vehicles and use this once a week. My rims are fine! Some wheel cleaners like Meguiars Hot heels are real bad for acid, which Can be bad for wheels.
  9. This is why I stopped using Lexol. I used to use them on my Porsche a few years ago. But I didn't like how the seats became sticky after words. This is an easy fix though. Buy some Sonus leather cleaner. It is a safe cleaner in a liquid gel formula. Just wipe on the seats with the special applicator and wipe off the excess. Now apply the conditioner. It just wipes on, no buffing needed. Let it dry for 20 minutes and your good to go. Its made in Italy and is safe for natural leather and coated leather. 13. Yes These can be polished mildly with a plastic Polish like Meguiars PlastX or Plexus. Meguiars PlastX Plexus Plastic Cleaner/polish I use these buffing towels because they don't scratch the plastic. Meguiars Buffing towels
  14. This is sooooooo true!!!! Glad Im not the only one who thinks this way!! Mine stays away for a few hours then insists on asking me questions........ Kids, what do I want for supper, etc. It like I KNEW she couldnt stay away the entire time!
  15. I also use Klasse All In One on all of my cars. I also use it on my wheels. Brake dust can wipe off with a quick detail spray. Here are the links to purchase the Klasse Ll in one and the quick detail spray. Klasse All In One Sonus Acrylic Pritz Detail spray
  16. quote=Butta,Jun 16 2005, 11:53 PM] I bought a Black Onyx 2006 Lexus GS300 a few weeks ago and need some advice on how to keep it as good looking as possible. This is the first car I've owned worth being proud about, so I know next to nothing about proper car care. I've read countless documents about detailing, polishing, waxing, etc, but have no idea how to create a good routine based on my needs and limitations. I park outdoors and the black seems to pickup dirt very quickly. I got a membership at the local hands only carwash. They do an OK job, but there's much more room for improvement. I'm a workaholic most of the waking day and go to school the rest. Any suggestions how I can get into a process of using the carwash as a pre-clean and possibly polishing and waxing afterwards myself... considering time as a factor? Thanks! ← Taking care of a properly cared for car is easy! I would recommend the following. Use detail clay to prepe the brand new paint for waxing or sealaing. (Yes you need to use detailing clay). Here is how to use detail clay. To prepare the clay, break the bar into two or three smaller pieces. Then flatten one piece into a small pancake.(keep the other pieces as a back up if the first piece becomes to contaminated) Use the detailing clay lube that comes with the clay. Work one small 3’x3’ area keeping the paint saturated with the lube. If you feel the lube not gliding easily, spray more lubricant. With the paint lubed, rub the clay with “slight” pressure. You will feel the clay grabbing the contaminants as it may feel like you are rubbing over “sand” Keep rubbing until the paint feels smooth as glass. Now once each section has been clayed, wipe the lube off with a micro fiber towel. Now the paint has has all the contaminates removed, the next stwp is either mild polishing or waxing. If there are any spiderwebbing scratches or other minor scratches these will need to be polished out. The first step I would suggest is a mild polish like Sonus SFX-3. This polish is safe for clear coats and will remove the white spots. Just apply a quarter size dab to a Micro fiber applicator and polish the paint. Do one 2’x2’ area at a time. Oncce the entire hood and roof is cleared up, follow up with the SFX3 using the same technique. This can be done by hand. But The Porter cable is THE BEST easiest way to polish paint. The Klasse is what I use on all of my vehicles. I also add the Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze over the AIO. Then for daily clean ups I use the Sonus Acrylic Spritz quick detail spray. Apply Klasse All In One over the entire vehicle, then go back to where you started and buff off the residue. Apply a small dab (like a quarter size dab) on another applicator and spread it in back and forth motions working one section at a time. Apply the Klasse high Gloss Sealant glaze so thin you will have to look very hard to see where you applied it. The last step will be applying the Klasse High Gloss Sealant glaze. Both of these products like to go on very thin and even. Then once the whole vehicle has been covered wait at least one hour then wipe off the product. You can add more layers of the Klasse if you wait 24 hours between applications. If you have any spots that won’t come off, take a damp towel and wipe the are then follow up immediately with a dry Buffing towel The last step would be upkeep. I use quick detailing spray at least once every week or sooner if needed. 18. I detailed my Daughter's new (pre owned 2003) Saab 9-3 Linear yesterday. I saw the headlights were foggy looking so I got out my PC 7424 with the Sonus 4" SFX Spot pads and went to work. Here is the before picture. I used Meguiars PlastX, the green and Blue Spot pads ,Plexus plastic cleaner/polish and Some Sonus Der WUnder Buffing towels. I first washed the lights when I washed the car. I took my shop vac and put the hose on the exhaust side and blew dried the headlights so water wouldn't keep dripping down while I was polishing them. Now I primed the pad with the Plexus polish/cleaner and applied a small half dollar size dab to the green 4" spot pads. I turned the PC to 4 and polished until the PlastX started to dry. I then wiped the remaining polish off and re polished the same way a second time. The last step was to put the blue finishing spot pad on and apply more PlastX but set the speed to 5. The result was a lot better than doing the polishing by hand and you wont get shocked from the static electricity associated with polishing plastic by hand. Now if your lights are glass, just substitute the Plexus and PlastX with Autoglym Glass Polish. Here is the finished results. I also polished the fog lights and tail lights. The camera had a fingerprint on the lens thats why there is a fog in the center of all pictures... I never said I was a photographer... :P Here is the products I used. 19. Maybe I used to much soap. But I had a heck of a time removing the suds......
  20. Please reconsider ordering Lexol. I used to use those two on my Porsche 911. the cleaner must be rinsed off with a damp towel because it is actually a soap. It was a paint to get all of the suds out of the little holes in the seats. Then the conditioner left the seats sticky. The only positive point was the smell it left. It smelled great! I have since found two products Sonus leather cleaner and conditioner. The cleaner does not need anything more than applying, and wiping with a dry towel. The conditioner, needs nothing but application. I will post a few pictures on how nice they came out on a volvo I did. sonus leather cleaner sonus leather conditinor sonus pro applicators the applicators have a yellow side for the cleaner and a black side for the condition.
  21. Couldn't have given better advise!! Instead of the stealer-ship packages, do it your self. For the turmac stain on the carpet and seats i HIGHLY recommend the Autoglym interior shampoo. For the paint P21S or Sonus Paintwork cleanser will also work. As for the Klasse All In One, Yes that will be the sealant of choice to replace the dealer installed sealant. I would also add the Klasse High Gloss sealant glaze to further protect the paint from future stains and will make the paint glisten with shine!!
