  1. www.decocarcare.com P21S,Clearkote,Prima,Wurth and much more!
  2. WD-40 works good.It good if you already have some at home. If not then get a dedicated bug and tar remover like Stoner bug tar remover. Stoner Bug and tar remover
  3. I used the PC 7424 and a swirl mark remover pad
  4. I found if I keep the backing plate about 3/4" away from the pad, it has just enough give to polish curved area, BUT still has enough support as to not rip the edges of the pad. Hope this helps
  5. Plexus or Meguiars Plastic polish are what I use. The secret is NOT to add more scratches so.....use a super soft touch with a quality micro fiber towel.
  6. A finishing paint polish will work. You can also try a detail spray. For the finishing polish try clearkotes moose glaze. This is a pretty common problem and they usually polish of pretty easy.
  7. VERY TRUE! Klasse All In One, Zaino, collinite 845 insulator wax works great,NXT past works so so,
  8. Did you leave the polish on until it dried? Polish is meant to be worked in and wiped off right away. The only product you would leave on would be a sealant or some waxes. It must have been a real pain int he you know what to remove the polish after it dried!! Next time you polish the paint, please wipe it off immediately! A detail spray will help in removing the dried polish. Sonus Quick detail spray
  9. Another option os the Sonus Hand Polish Bundle This contains Sonus SFX-1 Polish and Sonus SFX-3 finish polish, a Sonus SFX Pro applicator. Start by washing the scratched area and dry it. Then take the SFX-1 and apply a dime size dab to the yellow side of the applicator and polish the scratched area until you see the scratches disappear. Wipe the polish off and turn the applicator to the black side and apply a dime size dab of the SFX-3 polish and repeat the polishing of the area like before. Wipe the area and inspect. The scratch should be gone. Finish by applying wax or sealant to the area. Sonus Hand Polish Bundle I would recommend sonus Der WUnder Buffing towels for the removal of the polishes. Sonus Der Wunder Buffing towels
  10. There is a 20% discount going on now for the SFX pc kit. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-sfxpol-kit.html
  11. Here are a few pictures showing what the proper tools and products can achieve. The Porter Cable 7424 SFX and DAS pads. All three Sonus SFX polishes. This Black Durango was scratched on purpose to see how the SFX polishes work.(Yes its my Wifes Black Dodge Durango and NO she doesn't know I scratched it with a plastic pool brush she would KILL me :D ) I used the SFX Yellow pad with the SFX-1 Restore polish, the Green DAS pad with SFX-2 Enhance Polish and the Blue DAS pad with the SFX-3 final finish polish. Enjoy! These two pictures are from her Black Grand Prix she owned before the Black Durango...She Loves black vehicels.
  12. The PC has only 1-6 on the speed dial. Oscillations per minute.... No idea. I have found wonderful results by JUST using the PC with the correct pads and polishes. I also have a PC 7426 (True rotary), but use the PC 90 % of the time. Cleaning the pads are easy, just put some dawn dish liquid in the sink and let the pads soak for 20 minutes, rinse clean, dry and store in a plastic bag. As for the price being to high, the more people the bigger the discount. I am pretty sure we could get a 25% discount with 25 members. The PC at other places range from $99.00 (IF ON SALE) to $$225(meguiars). The pads that come with the PC DAS or SFX are top rate pads with Velcro backing that doesn't come off like other pads(I'm not saying it wont but it doesn't happen very often). The backing plate is much nicer then the one PC gives you. I still feel its a great deal if someone is looking for one.
  13. We have 5 people in the UK lexus forum wanting the PC with DAS pad kit. They have to pay aprox. $54.00 shipping plus a transformer to use the PC over the pond. I am sure some of you have been wanting to et the PC, This is the best way to achieve "The perfect shine"
  14. I like to use PlatX from Meguiars and a soft Micro fiber towel to safly polish plastic like the intrument panal. To keep it clean use Plexus and a soft micro fiber towel. I finf its easier to apply these products to the towel rather then applying it to the plastic(less mess) Meguiars PlastX Plexus Plastic Polish/cleaner Sonus Buffing towels

  16. I use Autoglym Bug and tar remover I spray this on the problem area after I do a light wash, let it set for a few minutes then gently wipe with a bug scrub sponge. It comes right off. Another tip is to keep the front of the car waxed, this helps.
  17. can you oln ybuy it online or do they sell it at retail stores etc? ← Good question. I know the distributor is in CA. Search the net for Klasse dealers. If not it would only take 2-3 days using Priority mail.
  18. I would recommend Klasse All In One and Klasse High Glass Sealant Glaze. The Klasse All In One(AIO) is a paint cleaner and acrylic sealant which is great at removing slight oxidation, minor scratches, The protection should last a month or two (even longer if you use their sealant glaze. Klasse All In One Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze
  19. The front bumper and rear bumper needs to flex because the material they are made of. So the paint must flex along with them. To allow the paint to flex without cracking a flex additve is added. Over time the flex additve braks down and the paint begfns to crack and then peel. There is no easy fix, a prpaint is the only fix. You can polish the rear bumper with a mild polish. NO AGRESSIVE polishes on flexable painted parts. For the rear bumper I would use the Sonus hand polish kit You cal also remove the water spots with this kit.
  20. Autopia Detailing Supplies The only item that can not be found at Autopia is the sandpaer. You will find it at most car parts stores.
  21. I just wash mine in the kitchen sink with either dawn dish liquid or Sonus der Wunder wasche. Soak the pads in the soapy water for 10-20 minutes, then work the soap through the pads and rince well. To dry them just squeeze as much water out and then squeez them in a bath towel. I store mine in a plastic zip lock bag(be sure pad in completly dry first before storing in bag. Sonus der Wunder wasche
  22. A gentle fabric cleaner will work. I like 303 upholstery cleaner and a soft sponge. Use as little 303 as you don't want to soak the fabric. The trick is to use enough to clean without wetting it. Then vacuum or dry fabric with a drying towel. 303 Upholstery cleaner
  23. The correct steps are as follows. 1.Sand area on and around chip. 2.Fill chip with primer.(You dont want to totally fill the chip with primer, but just below the surface.) 3. Add base coat color so this to is just below the surface of the rest of the uneffect paint. 4. Now go ahead and finish filling the chip with the clear. 5 wetsand the clear with 1500 et/dry sand paper. (Be sure and use the sandpaper wet, keep a bolw of water or bucket to keep the paper soaking wet. Once the repaired spot has been wet sanded and it is level with the rest of the suraounding paint, the next step is polishing. 6.Use sonus SFX-1 with the orange DAS pad or yellow SFX pad. Polish until the sanding marks are completly gone. 7.Change to greens(das) or White SFX pad and Sonus SFX polish 8.Last polishing step is SFX-3 and DAS Blue pad or SFX blue pad. 9 Foirst protecting step. Wash blue pad off and use the AIO over the entire car. Go back and wipe off. 10. Place buffing bonnet over blue pad(no need to wash pad) and apply 1-2 ounces of Sealant glaze for the entire car! Let set for 1 hour, wipe off... enjoy! If any of the AIO or SG streaks, just wipe with a detail spray or a damp micro fiber towel, then follow up with a dry towel. Good luck and please post some pictures!!
  24. Thanks for comments!! I started by washing the vehicle, and drying it. Then I used the Yellow SFX pad and the SFX-1. I also misted the pad with the sonus detail spray(so the polish soaks in the pad less). Then I just polished with the PC on speed 4 and just polished until the swirls were mostly gone.(I could have polished them completely away, but I don't like to go that far with the first product) I like to remove everything with all 3 polishes. The next step was the SFX White pad and SFX-2, same procedure. The last step is used with the blue SFX pad and SFX-3 but the speed starts at 4 and should end on 5. Thats about it. Very easy!
