  1. ..more of this...my navigator always tries to get me through toll roads, bridges, tunnels, etc...as though has a plan according contract with gov...
  2. If the AFS button is set to turn it off, there will be a warning displayed on the instrument panel. I tried using the button on my wife's ES350 because I didn't think hers were working either. I don't drive her car at night very much, if the AFS is working it is not obvious to me. I read in some document that they turn more to the right than they do to the left, but I don't remember where I read that. John Correct. In a left-hand turn, the left headlamp will pivot up to 15 degrees (the right-hand headlamp remains pointed straight ahead) and in a right-hand turn, the right headlamp will pivot up to 5 degrees (the left-hand headlamp remains pointed straight ahead). So, sort of like this.... Anyway, I can't tell if my 2010 ES 350 is doing this or not. Oh..No.. I do not like the idea my car looks like that guy
  3. I did,Monday. No pedal shaving or carpet work.Just software update. BTW,I don't believe the engine shuts down. That would be dangerous. The software update just cuts off any accelleration when brakes are applied. I totally refused to cut the pedal, change carpet and upgrade software...all of them are good... there is several methods to handle the car if you have a problem with unwanted acceleration...I have had such a problem before /not with ES350/...then god knows what a problem you will get with this upgrading....if this software is done in a post haste?..
  4. I taped JFK and get the way....but NAV did not show gates...
  5. at last have a chance to drive es350 2010..nothing to be excited of...just little cosmetic changes...as though I drove my es350 2007...
  6. ...the same design and size... it would be just clued, nailed and scotched to the floor :)...
  7. For the record I'm 28 and have taken several road racing courses in my lifetime. I'm just not an idiot. >>>sorry...your way of thinking...manner of giving multiple advises...confused me...be happy ...
  8. If you're in such a hurry that you are modulating the throttle and brakes through turns you need to grow up and do what other responsible adults do when they aren't getting to their destinations on time...leave earlier. O.K...and when I will be like you... over 60 years old... I"ll drive only after put all my way on navigator two days before start...
  9. There is absolutely no reason to use the technique you are describing on a public road, and the ES would be worthless on a track anyways. ...if I am in a hurry any techniques are good to hit a target...and ES350 is worth to use as a race car...driver is a king on a road..not a car...
  10. Speaking of common rules, I will presume you are intending to use the word lose not loose as your use of the word loose is making your last ...sorry...
  11. There is no reason... ..one drives fast, in post hurry and has to make a sharp turn and does not want loose power of the engine... in this case one keeps gas pedal at the same level and slightly presses the break.....car slowly makes a turn ...one release the break and without loosing time for increasing power of the engine drives at the same speed as did before turn... it is common rule in racing...
  12. As I stated: my mats are properly secured and I have no doubt that should the accelerator should get stuck - it would not be because of the mat. Sudden acceleration is one of the most deadly automotive defects in history. It occurs when a car’s electronics cause the throttle to go wide open, making it impossible for the driver to return the car to idle if it remains in gear. It also severely limits the ability of the brakes to bring the vehicle under control -- leaving the unsuspecting driver at the mercy of a runaway car. you are right..problem is in electronics...the only thing to solve the problem is turn off the engine...and after a while switch on again...I did once like this but it was another make...
  13. I am 59... live in USA for 4 years already...bought LEXUS ES 350 in July 2009...I had VOLVO S60 before it...great difference... soft and speedy...
