just noticed under the hood the red or hot battery contact has a plastic cover but the black connector does not, is this correct or am i missing the black plastic cover? thanks....

the noise does come from the area of the windsield washer fluid and brake fluid area, ive actually put my ear right up near that area and its definatily something close to there but cant pinpoint exactly the part making this click, click, click, click...so if its the abs doing a systems startup is this normal? and if its the fuel pump is this normal ,.thank you for your replies guys, keep the thoughts coming....

one more note, the click click click click noise i hear under the hood near the front passenger side near the windshield washer and power steering fluid tank

hello all, i just purchased the 2004 es330 fully loaded. I am hearing a strange noise before i start the car. ...I insert the key in the ignition..then turn it to the acc position, all is still ok, then when i turn the key further to start the car, but not far enough to start or run the engine..... I hear a humm or a buzz sound followed by a click,click, click, click....this happens every time. now the nav powers up when the key is in the acc positon so thats not it. I took this to the dealer and they tell me that its the auto leveling headlights doing a systems check....and all is normal...and the service man commended me for noticing that noise and i am the first to say something about this. can i get some input from everyone on this issue if they have this problem or not, it is somewhat bothersome to have a new car with a problem, thank you all for your replies in advance.....scott

just purchased 2004 es330 in nj and i previously posted about the electronic modulated suspension control switch....previous responders posted that this is only a west coast option, i see this in the large brocure book and also in the manual, and was told it is a standard option with the navigation package. I called lexus main number (1-800-25LEXUS) and they said this is an option and i should have it and i need to contact dealer.... now i have the avs in my car but not the electronic modulated suspension control switch which should be located on the center consol just left of the gear shifter above the rear power sunshade switch.....so are these the same things? and is it just that i cant manually change the suspension options myself, or should i make the dealer install this in my car?? help!! i need some input from all.....thanks scott

just got the 2004 es330....i noticed in manual the electronic modulated suspension with 4 different settings to choose from, located just right of steering column, but ! i dont have this feature in my car..there is a blank cover up plate where the controller is suppose to be..my question is ? is this a standard option with a fully loaded vehicle as mine is?
