  1. I will have pics soon, I am getting it professionally detailed. Thanks for the info on the paint, this is what I was looking for, I figured it was a costly endeavor, not worth the money IMHO. I am not a big fan of the brown color, but the gold badging at least looks nice with it, maybe it will help keep people from dinging it in parking lots as it looks meh from the outside. :P Yeah I am trying to keep this looking as stock as possible, including the entertainment overhaul, no custom speaker boxes or housings, no oversized subwoofers. The only thing that will stand out over stock is the receiver, but that is intended to give it modern technology which is a preference that I have and its not too expensive to install. I got lucky with this car, it was bought out of an estate, and my father sold it to me for $1000 after I did all the research, it was a no brainer. BTW anyone have any opinions on the Continental PureContact or ExtremeContact DWS06 tires, in regards to handling, fuel econ, ride quietness and smoothness?

  3. Hi Trevor, Your right. Each side mirror has a round housing on the bottom of the assembly. I didn't have a chance to play around with the controls so I'm not sure how much control you would have over it's coverage. Paul

  4. My '90 LS 400 C Pillar lights: The map light (push button) only turns on when depressed. The Entry light only turns on with the corresponding door being opened. None of the C Pillar lights turn on with with driver door or the overhead switch being turned on.

  5. 1992 Lexus LS400 climate control unit became defective, burned a diode on the inside circuit board. See my poorly addressed post entitled: Old Man Needs Help Heater Control Unit Had a very good experience buying a newly re-conditioned climate control module from Tanin Auto Electronix at 262-456-4147 located at 7012 Highway 31, Suite 100 Racine, Wisconsin 53402 spoke with Meredith Albrecht she sent it to me $204.98 took 3 days UPS ground. She asked me if I wanted special lighting, they specialize in 1990 to present customized gauge clusters and speedometers, climate control units, Stepper Motors, lights bulbs, LEDs, digital clocks, overhead compass, odometer correction and gauge cluster programming (whatever that is)...they can do custom color LED conversions for your inside gauge lights. Really cool...but I did decide to go with the original light bulbs that came with the car. Thanks to Tanin Auto Electronix and my wife who pulled and replaced the module!

  6. Yes I understand totally, most folks don't wrench on their cars. But the good news is you came here for help. We can try to give you knowledge base to address those service writers when you show up. The service department may have ran the test, but I don't know if that requires opening the hybrid battery box and visually inspecting. If you type in ISC reset on this site search you will find the procedure, which even you could perform. It is generally listed under the RX forums, but your vehicle probably shares the same sytem. Good luck in your quest to fix your car, please post any findings when you get them. top of the morning to you.
