Ac Drain Plugged

Joe

Recommended Posts

Just found my carpet soaking wet in my 95 ES300. Water was only slowly dripping out of the A/C drain. Pulled the carpet in the front passenger seat away from the center console and I and could see the A/C unit was sweating and full of water. I pulled the drain hose and stuck a nail up into the white plastic housing. This cleared the blockage and the unit drained completely.

Now, the question is: Can I open the white plastic housing and clean out whatever junk is floating around in there that had blocked the drain?

I can't tell exactly what steps to take to most easily open the unit up and clean it out.

Thanks,

Joe.

Was not able to open up the unit. But I did clear the blockage as I described in my first posting. Have not had any problems since.
