Consumer Reports Warning on 2021 NX300h Major Engine Problem
I am brand new to the forum so please bear with me . . . In Feb 2024 I purchased a low miileage 2021 NX300h. Shortly thereafter the April 2024 the annual auto guide issue of Consumer Reports magazine was published.On page 92 they give the 2021 NX300h double red down arrows for Major Engine problems which is disconcerting to say the least. Has anyone experienced major engine problems on this fairly new model? Thank you.
Intermitent idle/vaccum issues
Hello, I have a new to me 02 rx300 with 170k on the clock. Im trying to figure out some issues Ive discovered and haven't found anything conclusive enough to fix. Thus, Im reaching out for help, all input would be appreciated. The issue is partially intermittent. On idle when car is in gear and rpm is low ~600 there is a dead miss on 1-2 cylinders. It clears up as the rpm is increased. Additionally, the car suffers a low vacuum condition on occasion (largely after rough idling for awhile, o
12 V battery
My 12 v battery on my NH450 plus died the other day. The car was three months old and had less than 1000 miles.I could not unlock or start the car. Until this happened, I was not even aware that there was a 12 V battery which apparently powers all the ancillary electronics. I simply assumed that the main battery powered everything. I don't drive far and rarely use HV mode but I do drive regularly (at least 2 times per week). I am wondering if this happened because the alternator only runs on HV

I have the opportunity to purchase an '06 Lexus LX470 (170k Miles) in Cypress Pearl - Ivory interior in great condition. All necessary repairs and maintenance were performed this month. I have listed the large maintenance items below. I am curious what a good market range is for this vehicle? Please advise. Alan Funk one of the original moderators of this forum is in poor heath. He loved solving problems & helping and talking all things about cars especially his 3 Lexuses ! He has a 2007 ES350 w/Ultra-Luxury Package. w/25,000 miles. Amber Pearl w/Cashmere interior. Its only been serviced by Lexus , parked in a private spot and babied…orginal owner of course! I’m wondering if anyone has interest? I haven’t listed this anywhere else as I felt it would be respectful to him for me to present it to the Lexus Owner Club members first.
