talkers Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 How fast does the Rx330 go 0-60 We are getting our AWD RX330 in a couple days.
wwest Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 I would suspect that if you're asking this question then you should NOT be buying an RX330. Think seriously about that big Dodge SUV with its impressive, MANLY front grille and huge HEMI engine. RX330's and 300's are like minivans, made for women and/or men that are certain, comfortable, of their station in life. Otherwise the RX330 is an absolutely wonderful choice.
Rx300_coach Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 agreed, people don't buy Lexus' because of their 0-60 or quarter mile times.
93LSOwner Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 agreed, people don't buy Lexus' because of their 0-60 or quarter mile times. SC & GS. :whistles:
Rx300_coach Posted May 29, 2004 Posted May 29, 2004 yes, but there are much quicker cars in the same price range Sc's competitors: Mercedes CLK-- 0-60 in 4.9 seconds http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/...k55/index1.html Jaguar XK--0-60 in 5.2 seconds http://www.fast-autos.net/jaguar/03jaguarxkr.html Sc430's 0-60 time: 6.2 sec http://www.fast-autos.net/lexus/lexussc430.html and GS? competitors: Mercedes e500: 0-60 in 5.8 seconds http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0403_merce/ Infiniti M45: 0-60 in 5.8 seconds http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/...m45/index4.html Lexus GS430:0-60 in 5.8 seconds http://www.fast-autos.net/lexus/lexusgs430.html so your telling me the 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times are reasons people buy lexus'? That doesn't make much sense considering it's not even leading their segment for the most part. There are quicker cars in it's class.
stryke Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 While Lexus makes some of the softest rides available and nice interiors with great mechanical reliability, they are slow! :)

Nobody said that someone is going to buy a Lexus only based on the 0-60 times. You assumed that.......There is a lot more involved then just speed. Realibility, performace, looks, etc..the list can go on forever.
wwest Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 We seem to be confusing speed with "quick". I have driven my 92 LS just as fast in MT, Browning to Cut Bank, as I have my 911 on the Autobahn. That's speed. I care not how competitively either car can go from 0 to 60.
