Slytimus
I have a 2000 GS400 and the owner's manual states that the windows should not be tinted on vehicles containing the navigation system as this may interfere with the normal operation of the system. Has anyone had such a problem?
SW03ES
It can happen, moreso if you get tints that have a metallic coating. The sensor is in the rear window, most tint places know enough to just notch the tinting around the antenna, removing the problem.

gslx4s
I have have heard of the problem as well but only with tints with a high metallic compound in it. Just like SW03ES said most shops know to notch the tint. You could also relocate the sensor to the front windshield. however you would also need to have a shop wire in an aftermarket receiver. Stick with the stock just do not use a tint with a high metallic count.
