Loud popping radio 2002 GS 300 help!!!

The radio has always worked no problem now I have a loud popping coming from speakers sounds like speakers are going to burst or a wiring issue. Now the radio will come in regular then start popping again and no sound? How do I fix this? An is there anyway I can swap out this navigation for a regular tape deck and ac/heat from like eBay or is that not possible? Thanks for any help.
