Have no idea what this is ... it's not a FOB and it takes a battery ... help!

I'm sure I'm an idiot here but this came with my 2007 SC.  I have no idea what it is (see the photo).  The car came with remote FOBs, so all good there.  But this was on the same keychain.  Ideas?  Thank you!!!
