gage
THE HEAD UNIT FOR MY STEREO ON MY 92 SC400 HAS HAD THE LETTERS CDcmp ON THE LCD DISPLAY FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS.FINALLY I LOOKED IT UP IN THE OWNERS MANUAL AND IT SAID TO HOLD THE CDcmp button down for about 6 seconds to get to this mode which is supposed to improve sound quality at lower listening levels. the problem is, as i found out , it sounds muted when you turn it up. i held the button in, heard a beep, and then i had way better sound. make sure you guys dont have this displayed on your lcd or your sound quality will be diminished. SKperformance
It is for compression basically so you don;t get jolted by soft and then a loud passage from some music like classical. Most music does not needed.
