Is there a setting somewhere that causes the automatic "follow" to turn off?

Just curious, as I turn it off manually. Call me old fashioned but I prefer not to follow every thread I post in.

Sorry, I didn't understand exactly what you wanted.

It is common for forum software to be configured to turn on "follow" by default whenever you post.  If you don't want to follow a thread after you post, then immediately turn off following after posting.

I assume that this is a forum software configuration setting that could be changed by a forum administrator but many people prefer to automatically follow a thread after posting.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party chaps!

Mike, Jim is correct, as its normal practice to see what responses you get from posting in different threads.
You can opt to turn off the responses like Jim has stated by toggling the switch, but it is a global change to default to switch it off as it will affect all members
