What could be course or courses of black smoke from engine?

I had issue with d number 1 catarrhlist (indomie), and i had it changed, but few hours after this i notice some malfunction from the car acceleration and it started bringing out black thick smoke.

What should I ask my mechanic to check or work on.

Thanks

Did your mechanic change the catalytic converter or did someone else do this?

I think you should make sure that the mechanic knows exactly what was done, recently. If there was no black smoke before the change, then some type of change most likely was done.

Makes me wonder if the mechanic just used some kind of cleaning agent to unclog pores and now the super heated exhaust gases inside the cat are burning it off……

Yes, allowing an engine intake to pull in any petroleum-based liquid is not good for the cat.
