Micholas Posted April 4, 2021 Share Posted April 4, 2021 Hi all. My first post is a plea for advice. Yesterday I replaced the drivers door lock actuator plus the window motor and actuator. Horrible job due to that ridiculous window bar that goes along the lock actuator. I actually did the rear door as well today which was a lot easier. Anyway that small smart lock button on the outside drivers door handle didn’t work before the repair, and although that wasn’t the reason for the replacement, I was hopeful that this would resolve it. But it hasn’t! Any ideas? Does it need a whole new handle mechanism? I really cba to strip it all down again to investigate. If it was any other door I wouldn’t care, but it is the door I get out of. Lexus Owners Club Posted April 9, 2021 Share Posted April 9, 2021 Not sure but the switch is only a switch as in it either works or it doesn't.....shame you can't just follow the lead from it down to inside the door and plug in an on/off switch to see if that activates the lock.
