Should I replace the timing belt?

Recommended Posts

2002 with 79000 miles. Should I replace the timing belt and hoses? They are original. No one has noticed deterioration of the hoses.

Hi Jim....welcome to the Club

If in doubt then I would certainly replace the timing belt and tensioners due to age and mileage.
Also, it if you are replacing the coolant hoses then I would also recommend replacing the water pump at the same time as the belts.

Here is an article that may provide some useful information to tackle the job
