2004 Lexus RX330 suspension issue, changing spark plugs, tachometer and speedometer not wiring

We just bought a 2004 Lexus RX330,  which we got a great deal on.  Issues are:  suspension makes thudding noises when going over bumps, idling is off, and speedometer and tachometer do not work.  If anyone has simple solutions that I can do myself to save money please let me know.  Thank you.

How many miles are on the odometer? Did you test-drive the vehicle before you purchased it or was it at an auction and wasn't allowed to be started?

Thudding noises are sometimes due to worn shocks or bushings. 
Check your fuses to see if any related to the speedometer/tach are blown.
Was the fuel filter ever changed? Perhaps an injector cleaning is in order. Are there any illuminated warnings like check engine? If so, you should identify the code with a scanner before replacing things.
