I am buying a 08 GS300 with 280K Miles

Hi there guys,

Next week I am travelling to order a 08' (Facelift) GS300. The car has 280K miles on it.

One owner, accident free, has been serviced only at Lexus.

I am in Europe. Decided to ask here, simply because there is a higher chance that US / CA customers have better experience with high mileage cars.

What should I watch for? I am going to test the car (have about 7 miles of driving allowed). What is kind of promising, is that I just talked to a service guy at a Toyota / Lexus dealership, and he said he has been working there for many years and never saw a chain being changed / torn.

I am attaching some pics, just to see how well it looks like. There is some damage of course, but nothing too big having in mind the mileage.

I am even considering contacting Lexus, to see if they would be interested in sponsoring me if I brand the car with something like "300K miles / 500K KM and counting".


Will be happy to hear more from you and what should be my main worries.
