I noticed the battery problem last year (when it was a 5-year battery). I monitored the engine's start up for a year. With a set of 16 cars/batteries, I now know the characteristics of an old battery. I can analyze more data if other people contribute their data. How To Load Test A Car Battery Without Buying A Load Tester.
can we do load test without buying a load tester?

I own a 2020 RX 450h F Sport, which I custom-ordered and received delivery in November, 2019. The SUV is awesome! I installed (myself) the appropriate two hitch, and then had a professional tow/trailer business install the 7-pin tow wiring harness.
My question is regarding backing-up [in reverse] with my small camper attached (being towed behind) by RX. When I towed behind my Prius and needed to backup/in reverse, and the camper attached, the rear sensors kept braking unnecessarily, thinking the Prius was about to hit or strike an object. No matter how slow I backed-up in reverse, the Prius' rear sensors kept activating, causing the vehicle to brake (and display the STOP warning screen).
Can anyone who owns an RX (any year model) who tows, describe how to keep the sensors from braking, when in "reverse" at a slow speed and towing something behind it?

i have a 98 ls400 with about 244,000 miles on it. I’m having this very odd issue with the car. When I come to a stop light/ sign, the battery light comes on, rpms drop straight to 0 and the engine dies. Air and radio some times stay on. If I put it in park and restart the car the light goes away then its fine to drive until.. ya guest it I come to another stop. It does the exact same thing over an over at each complete stop. I assumed it was the alternator and I replaced it yesterday. No battery light, or weird idols happened for about a day. it is back to doing the battery light thing. If anyone has any Ideas of what it could be, or how to fix this issue id really appreciate it. ALSO not sure how old my battery is, changed the negative battery terminal when I did the alternator. Positive could be the problem (Corrosion on positive terminal) or maybe the terminal cable(s)?? Im very new to working on cars and any information is appreciated and retained.

I plan to buy RX450h soon. It is hard for me to afford new one, so, I'm looking mostly on '15 - '18 models with about 30K mileage.
I never had a hybrid before. Is it a good idea to buy a used hybrid at all? I noticed that RX350 has much more offer on the secondary market than RX450h. Am I making a mistake buying a used hybrid?

Retiring at 68 and thinking of selling my Honda Odyssey and getting a true Luxury car; a Lexius. Zeroing in on an older ES 350 or RX. Maybe even a Hybrid one.
So, I ask you experienced Lexus owners, is this a bad Idea for a single woman who can’t fix her own car? And the closest Lexus shop is 2 hours away?
I’d like to keep the price around 25,000 or less.
Thank you for any insights, advice, etc
