Ethanlexus Posted September 3, 2019 Share Posted September 3, 2019 Hello I want to reset my computer ECU.2002 Lexus es300 3.0L v6 I have a few questions. Is the ECU the actual computer board of the car or just a component of the computer board? How many computer boards are in the car? My friend has a Mercedes Benz and he reset the ECU but it had some immobiliser system that lost its VIN record after flashing it now his car won't work. Does my Lexus have this same type of system that links the VIN to the computer or only Benz does that? I'm very new to cars in general this is my first car.
