Does a timing chain need to be replaced on a Lexus 2010 RX450H SUV ?

Hi Karyn

Although the RX450h engine does have a timing chain and in general timing chains do wear, there are no records that we can find that state the chain needs replacing as a maintenance item.

However, if there is a distinct rattling coming from the front of the engine then I would have the car inspected to determine whether it is advanced wear on the chain and tensioners.
