Jack Hicks Posted July 28, 2019 Share Posted July 28, 2019 Upon startup of my GX 470, cold engine only, and only occasionally, a new sound just made an appearance. it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. After about 30 seconds after startup it stops. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner being shut off... a winding down type of sound. The vehicle is running great... like new. it has 130xxx miles, recently replaced the serpentine belt, new plugs, changed transmission fluid. The timing belt and water pump replaced around 100xxx. I just had new wheels and tires put on. I'm taking a cross country trip in about three weeks, so I'm a little nervous. I've attached an MP3 file of the sound.
