dommm
I just change my old tires for new Michelin Defenders. The tire I replaced them for were Michelin Pilots & I'm sure the Pilots were the OEM tires. The sticker on the drivers door says to set the psi to 33 & I believe the same psi was listed on the sidewall of the Pilots. I bought the new Defenders at Costco & when I drove off the lot & checked the tire pressure using the onboard menu, the pressure on all 4 tires was 38. The sidewall on the Defenders says 44 psi. What does everyone think I should set the tire psi to on these Michelin Defenders? Thanks
Marcyang
The pressure showed on side wall is the max for the specific tire. You should follow the pressure showed on the doors stickers of the car

Npahlavan
My tires show 40 Max psi and inside the door it says 36 psi. So I set my tires to 36 but when I drive the TPS shows 40 (tires heating up). Should I be worried?
EastTN Lex
Nope...tire pressure on the door label is the recommended cold tire pressure. Perfectly normal for the tire psi to go up as the tire gets hotter.
