yovaken Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 ! would like to disconnect the fuel injector electrical plugs from the injectors without damaging every one I come into contact with! What's the combination to that safe? Where to get a tool to separate those plugs?
sha4000 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 The insulation is so brittle it's going to probably crack for sure. I used a pair of needle nose pliers and was very gentle when changing my starter. I think I still damaged one though.
Exhaustgases Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 And in most cases if the little latching clip breaks you can wrap a small wire tie around the receiving plug and then another between the 2 wires and into the first tie then tighten the first then the second one. Its either that or try to purchase new connectors and the hassle of removing the contacts to transplant to the new part, there are special tools for that.
