Ballast went out on HID Headlight

Checking dealer prices I think a ballast cost around a 1000 dollars.  The headlight lens are really cloudy but it seems the after market assemblies will not work on a model that came with HID lights.  Any ideas on a good plan of action would be?  Thanks!

Ouch!  that's a huge amount of money for a ballast.

Could only recommend looking for a complete unit in a breakers yard with good lenses

I got a complete OEM headlight assembly from Ebay, ballast and bulb included, with one broken tab, for $80. More than worth its weight in spare parts. Check online and see who's selling what.
