Evan7920 Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I bought a 2011 lexus is250 from a dealer about a year ago with 48k miles on it and I am looking towards getting my first oil change from the dealers. I did some research and some people say that you get the first oil change is free and I was wondering if that's true for my case. Another question is what type of engine oil does the Is250 use and should I use synthetic oil? *Im a new car owner*
TrevC Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Hi Evan...welcome to the Club! I would say the best thing is to contact the dealer and 'jog their memory' to remind them that they (possibly!) they would do a great deal when you return it for it's first service since purchase....it's worth a try. This link will take you to Castrol website which features an oil selector for your car. http://www.castrol.com/en_us/united-states.html then go to 'Find' the right oil for your car' Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trevor
