I parked my car in the garage and this morning I went to start it and the lights turn in radio and all but the car doesn't start or attempt to. What's going on? Please someone give me a idea. People have said it can be a selinoid.

I would first check the battery cables to make sure they are not loose and there's no corrosion on them. Then I would check the battery voltage with a multi-meter to make sure that it is charged properly. How old is the battery?

Just because the lights turn does not mean that there is enough juice to crank the engine. Do you hear the starter turn or do you just hear a click when you turn the key?

If you turn the headlamps on and turn the ignition to start position...do the lights dim down?

If so, the starter is taking a current draw, meaning the battery is providing power to the starter but the solenoid is faulty.

If the lights do not dim, then the starter is not taking a current draw and there is a problem in the circuit to the starter...ignition, immobiliser, etc
