Is The 2001 Highlander The Same As The 2001 Rx300?

I am interested in installing a set of Westin Sport Tubes on my 2001 RX300. These are similar to the side step bars but mount up tight against the rocker panel. Unfortunately, Westin only offers a set for the 2001 Highlander - not the Lexus.

I have read that the Highlander and Lexus are essentially the same (as the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable are essentially the same). If this is true than the Highlander part will be a direct bolt on for my RX.

Can anyone confirm?

Drivetrains are the same, body sections are definitely not the same. Not so sure about body section where direct bolting would apply.
